I spent a bunch of time googling to find random Anders goodness. I quickly discovered that anything that might have been funny/cute/whatever, was ruined by a weird Anders mod. *sigh* Thus back to deviantArt. At least drawings of Anders aren't modded so much as stylized.

EDIT: Also, following random Google links is both depressing and hilarious. Stumbled into a different forum in which people were complaining about DA2. Unsurprisingly, it eventually came to them complaining about how they were "forced" into a relationship with Anders. Or as one guy put it, they tried every different option but the game made them "submit to Anders' ****." The internet really makes me shake my head sometimes.

Wow. Curiosity killed the...everything. What a terrifying question to ask a total stranger. He handled it well though.

...OK. I just looked up the Stanford Prison experiment and I am deeply disturbed.

Admittedly, I don't think the Ferelden circle was quite that extreme for some.
(Aside from similarities like the robes being pretty much the same for everybody and no windows, and the templars with their helmets and... God, I keep seeing Anders in solitary confinement...)

Kirkwall is probably the Thedas equivalent.

I must now write an angsty fic detailing life in the Circle from the view points of various mages and templars.
Starting with Anders angst, and then to lighten the mood, maybe a little Surana-Jowan bromance with a touch of CullenxAmell fluff/angst.... and then MOAR Anders angst!
...with an escape attempt or two.

And foreshadowing of Hawke and Anders.

It seems pretty definite that they used some form of contraception but I don't think we ever get any kind of detail in game. I figure it could be a variety of things. There could be various real medieval methods (animal intestine condoms and the like). They could also use potions of some sort I would guess. Beyond that, mages might be able to manage magical methods. I believe someone made a joke about a tiny barrier or arcane shield spell.

EDIT: The description of Arcane Shield is practically begging for that joke, "The caster generates protective sheath that helps divert incoming attacks, gaining a bonus to defense while this mode is active."
