This paradox also explains why people complain about Fenris being whiney, but not Merril or other characters. It's perhaps easier to see flaws in one's gender -- or to feel annoyed or even threatened by them.
Which I would say would explain my wanton hate for Isabela, other people don't seem to like her either. Not because she is "loose" but because that's all that was explored with her.
I openly admit I wouldn't stand Anders if he was female. I'm not sure if it's sexism or a mixture of that and being tired of females being the clingy, jealous, snippy type.
Fenris bugs me a bit to because of his douche moments. I understand them but him calling Merrill a monster makes me wanna backhand him.
Bleh I hate Isabela because she ditches me. Bleh. Get the damn book on your own from now on. I miss out on some experience but it won't kill me.
