Okay, so speaking of the Fade and demons and such, do you think that Feynriel would be able to help Anders with Justice? Not that he would be able to separate the two, but could he maybe do something else? Since Dreamers are able to enter and change the Fade at will, it seems like he would be able to do something. Maybe he would at least be able to do something to purify Vengeance and turn him into Justice again.
I dunno. Just my speculative rambling mostly.
I'm not sure he could, since Vengeance is physically inside of Anders at this point. I believe that it took over in Night Terrors simply because in the Fade, its "birthplace", Vengeance's consciousness is stronger than Anders'.
Given that it appeared in Anders' form rather than as a spirit or demon in its own right, I think it's an indication that they think of themselves as one being or have merged so far as to find it hard to distinguish the two selves.
Trying to manipulate or cleanse that would, to me, be akin to trying to... remove a brain tumour, maybe. Possible, perhaps, but incredibly delicate work with potentially horrible consequences if you slip up.
I would think that the best course of Fade-related action is take a hands-off approach. Vengeance was short with us in Feynriel's quest because it felt we should be "focusing on the task at hand" (maker, how I hate that line) rather than chatting, but if we could get someone in there to just talk to it (hopefully the Warden, given how aces our Wardens were with Intimidate/Persuade checks), and maybe show it how much it has been warped and is breaking the person who was its friend, there might be a slim chance we could somehow get it to listen to reason.
Yes, I'm suggesting therapy for the Fade demon. Shut up.
