My only complaint about the romance scene in DA2 verses DA:O, I liked how in DA:O you can have sex multiple times with certain love interests. Anders you get the main one and then an implied one at the beginning of Act 3. I also would have liked a kiss at the end when Hawke tells him they would be fugitives together. But all in all I loved DA2 handling of the romances.

I simply assume that, with most of the companions, you spend the three years between Acts 2 and 3 making up for lost time. And there have to be lots of nights between quests, right?

There's only one thing I would change about Anders' sex scene. Instead of standing at the fireplace talking afterwards, I would have the same dialogue while cuddling in bed. It always feels weird that Hawke and Anders threw their clothes back on afterwards and got out of bed. Like, was it that bad? And no, it doesn't make me happy to pretend that they did it with their clothes on their first time. I find that...disappointing.

But, I figure, game limitations. The default male body really doesn't fit Anders, and they probably didn't have time/money/whatever to design a new one for him.

Just pretend they're not actually dressed.

i listened out for his voice in dao but it didn't sound like fenris at all

This is precisely my problem. I get as far as romancing Fenris first, then Anders flashes his sad!face and I melt. I've watched the conclusion of Fenris' romance on youtube and it does look good, but for me the crazy mage always interferes. Not that I'm complaining.

Speaking of Ander's crazy, he mentions that in the Fade it is pure
emotion and there's no ability to judge correct times etc? Could the
reason he comes on so strong be tied up with Justice in a more literal

Interesting idea. I think it's probably a combination of the two. If his emotions are amplified by Justice's connection to the Fade, plus he hasn't been laid in a couple of years, it's really no wonder he comes on as strong as he does. Oddly, this is normally a turn off for me in both RL and fiction, but with Anders it's done so well, he tries so hard to keep Hawke at bay, that when he finally succumbs, it's very powerful.

Three years it is a lot. If I think about it, it must have been a torture. He probably could see Hawke everyday, but had to avoid it or at least avoid exposing his feelings too much. And maybe Hawke wasn't even making it easy for him, I can imagine my Hawke teasing and flirting to be honest. Or maybe he had to suffer if Hawke was more interested in Fenris or someone esle. Because we know Anders always loves you xD

There was also another one with them doing the Hawke/Isabela romance sceen. But it was small and hard to really see.

On another note, I am also dissapointed that BioWare caved in to the "Fox News" pressure and dumbed down their romance scenes to PG rather that their previous R rating. This game is rated M and the content should reflect such. I should have been able to at least see a half naked Anders or Fenris.

Fenris wasn't shirtless after the fact because it would of meant having to create another model with his tattoos. Which there is a post Gaider made stating that he wanted him to be shirtless, but if they did do that something else would have to be cut.
I'd imagine it'd be the same deal with Anders and his own unique body model.
And Hawke standing in front of the fireplace in her underwear would of been a little awkward.

The scenes are already very well done and each are personal to every companion and Hawke without needing to use and show blatant sex.

I'm not sure how Anders managed to hold out for an entire three years, considering my Hawke was probably grabbing his junk and offering to blow him approximately a week into their relationship.
