I think he looks great ;] Of course, I've always been a sucker for men with stubble.

asdkjhfsdk There are so many different versions of the ending I don't know what to do with myself. I never knew that could happen. ;_; *goes to play it again*DeaHamlet wrote...
It was beautiful! Hawke did not fight him, Fenris fought him alone and killed him.
There was no romance, Hawke and Anders were really good friends and she helped him as much as she could.

OMG. The torture is over.
My one and only templar playthrough.
I killed Anders. And I am surprised to say... it wasn't as horrid as I thought it would be.
I let him go free and he went to defend the mages... it made sense. My Hawke wanted to protect the city, minimize the war, and respected the other side. She let Anders go to be at the side of the mages, to die for his cause in a proper way... FIGHTING. Not stabbed in the back like an animal.
And when he came to kill me, he was only sad. And resolved. He wasn't angry, he wasn't shouting... he was simply disappointed it came to this.
It was beautiful! Hawke did not fight him, Fenris fought him alone and killed him.

I hated siding with the templars, but I must say that Bioware made a beautiful thing out of having to kill Anders.
I can imagine that my mage warden and my templar Hawke would have quite the fight. I don't think my elf mage would care one tinsy bit that Hawke was just trying to find a peaceful solution and try to stop a war before it began.
I can't say I blame the warden.
Templar siding NEVER again.
This is probably what I'll do, then. I think I'll be getting to this point tomorrow.

From what I've seen, the vast complaints stem from the issue of Anders aggressively coming onto people's m!Hawkes. Personally, I thought both Anders and Fenris were pretty deep and enjoyable. No character came without emotional baggage anyway. If they were all real, they would've qualified for psychological therapy.
I haven't gotten any flirt lines with him, unless I try. And that's with an M!Hawke.
Avoid the heart icons, and it's good.
(Mind you, I'm also only still in Act 1 on a second playthrough. I romanced Anders the first time around.)
If you take the diplomatic/kind tone with him, he mistakes it for affection and clings to it. It's happened to my second m!Hawke before (who was romancing Fenris and befriending Anders). Some people reported that he will later declare his feelings for you regardless of whether or not you initiated anything, but I haven't seen that myself.

I just did this last night and the ending felt a bit hollow siding with the templars... I dunno. Maybe it's because I'm firmly team mage, even though I do see the points of more moderate templars like Cullen even though I don't completely agree.
Or maybe I'm just having a case of the Shepards, where I loved my first character so much that I don't really care about my others in the same way, so their roleplaying and characterization suffers (example, I picked every single sarcastic line without thinking on templar-siding dude). Like, for me Commander Shepard is a feisty redheaded Infiltrator paragon with renegade leanings who loves Garrus, and Hawke is a good guy mage with a bit of a lighthearted jokey edge who loves Anders and mage freedom. Kinda hurts replayability, but I'd rather feel super attached to one of my PCs than not really attached to none like I was with my Wardens.

Haha, glad to know I'm not the only one like this :] I can't recall even finishing playthroughs with alternate characters >.< I just get derailled or disinterested.
