i suppose he has to believe in something. greater purpose and all that

I usually play my human characters atheist. If not that then believing the Maker may exist, but not in the context the chantry puffs out. If he does well... Maybe the dwarves have the right idea.

But I'd reckon trying to come up with reasons for why mages should not be locked up yet say you're atheist(does that word even exist in Thedas? Oh well) wouldn't get you very far.

I once made a magi OC who worshiped demons... he didn't last long.:?

Can't imagine why.

Well, he shared Uldred's view of demons, so at least when the demon slowly killed him, took over his body and twisted him horribly, he died happy.
Amell and Surana just facepalmed.

Drive-by Fenders! *flees*

Gotta agree with Hawke.
Shaddup and enjoy the show, woman!

Okay, I stand corrected. I just replayed the Night Terrors scene with Marethari explaining what somniari are and what makes them so dangerous...and apparently that whole bit about entering the Fade physically...is just something I made up. The only thing really unique about Dreamers seems to be their ability to drag non-mages, even dwarves, into the Fade in a conscious state.

Go figure. I mean, I remember the Keeper saying something about entering the Fade physically. Only now I don't know where I got it from. Maybe an alternate reality where DA2 was a different game? Or maybe I've just fried my brain from DA2 overexposure...

I have a solution to that!

Solution to Anders-Brain-Melt

Buy Mass Effect 2

Spend next two weeks trying to decide which one you like more -- Garrus or Thane. <3 Also Kaiden, because I totally got a save file from ME1 so I would avoid the urge to actually play, and then just youtubed the sex scene so I knew what I was missing. ROUGHEST PLAYTHROUGH SO FAR. MUST.. NOT.. FLIRT.. WITH.. HOT.. ALIENS...

I read the subtitles in that screenshot as "Well derp. Kirkwall has a new champion."
That probably wouldn't be too far off from Meredith's thinking either.

Aw, well, c'mon, you can hardly expect the guy to stand back and watch you slaughter his people.

THANE.
End of.

Garrus is my Shepard's BFF.

Kaidan is history.
Thane is quite literally her addiction (Oral contact = Hallucinations! XD)

Contact with the other can induce anaphylactic shock ^_^

I may've left Kaiden behind on Virmire. In my defence, I assumed his haircut would deflect the blast.

I feel like I should like Jacob out of a sort of "loyalty" (hey! He's brown! I like brown guys! I am a brown guy!), but, maaaaan.

Them aliens is sexah.

Thane is far more attractive than Garrus, I think, but Garrus has more bromance. Which, really, is what I want in my sci-fi gay bromances.

Why can't I have a three pronged (heh) bromance with Kaidan, Garrus and Shep, bioware? Whhhhy?

Re: Mass Effect 2...I can get it fer free in celebration of DA2, har, and I've thought about delving into ME 1 and 2, but I'm generally a diehard fantasist and have no real interest in sci-fi, and I've understood that Mass Effect in general appeals more to action gamers. I suppose if the story's good, I'll go for it, but I really dislike sci fi shooters in general...

Because Bioware is Wolfram & Hart evil and wants you to suffer.

Free = awesome

Give it a try. I like it. the story's good.

I play DA, though I'm not a big fantasy guy. The only fantasy I like, really, is Terry Pratchett. But then, I think ME has a very interesting story and a bunch of fun things going on, but it doesn't have the moral difficulties of DA's stories.

But, seriously, free.

@Kawamura, Jacob as a character is alright, but his romance has FemShep saying lines only a drunken co-ed would spring on you.
But hey, he told me we were gonna get crunk and spill some drinks on the Citadel. I'm up for it.
