Don't know if someone posted it or not. This thread moves so damn fast I gave up trying to keep up.

 Awesome. I also thought of Nate when I saw when Seb said it was his grandfather's bow.

Edit: Argh, got nothing for ToP.

That's actually not Anders, it's Brekker (who has the exact same voice, lol).

I actually think that line if from Brecker or whatever his name was. He had the same VA as Anders.

Ah, that makes sense.

Haha, I remember that quest now and going, "Uh, this is awkward."

Hahaha! Love it! I can imagine my Hawke doing that after Chantry Goes Boom. "I know how important your work is, and I knew you were up to something, but DAMMIT ANDERS, a little warning would have been nice."

Edit Thinking of the ending, am I only one that wishes they had a marderknife option for Sebastian? When he goes on about how if he was in the Chantry would Hawke be struggling to make a decision, I just though - hang on a second, this is my boyf/husband/significant other we're talking about. You choirboy are just a friend, shut up and remember who you're talking to. I'd like to see you raise an army when you're dead. *stab*

I wanted it too.  Of course I have wanted to murderknife him ever since I tried his friendship romance.  All that "chaste marriage" nonsense.

The bolded bit: you are not alone. Although for me it was less "You're annoying shut up *stab*" and more, the man has just threatned to raise an army, tear Kirkwall to the ground and kill you and your "Precious Anders." Killing him before he goes through with this plan just seems...sensible. I don't want that threat at my back.

I know!!! And considering once you're in the circle's hall you tell Anders that you'll kill anyone that tries to come after him, you'd think you'd have pre-empted killing Seb. A little bit easier than killing an army... but maybe Hawke just wanted some intensive cardio? Who knows, but Hawke doesn't like to make things easy for themselves.

I think part of it is that he just walks away after that speech and it seems unsporting to stab him in the back after he walks away saying he won't interfere at this particular point in time.

It's a shame Varric did't just do it for you ala Gascard :( I also wasn't keen on the colour play between Seb (white) and Anders (sexy rebel black). I just thought if that hypocritical zealot is meant to be the good guy I'll stick with Anders, at least my guy has convictions.

Well, you know, white isn't always associated with goodness and purity and various other heroic cliches.
Hell, in some parts of the world, it's the color of mourning (...which is strangely apt, considering the murder mardar of Seb's family forms a driving part of his character).
And pff, Anders wears black because he knows it's stylish. A magnet for pet hair, mind you... but stylish.

Omg, I saw a Youtube of that . Errrr... hot accent, creepy blue eyes, sexless marriage?... No thanks. I'll take a glomping apostate thanks. (Maybe a moody elf and a pirate wench as well... I'm an equal opportunities lover).

True - he does take a leap up in the style stakes. I can imagine Hawke desperately trying to get him to wash, do up some buttons. :innocent:

You could take it to mean what they think of themselves. Or even what the world thinks of them.

Sebastian is a priest, a man of the Chantry. In his own mind and in the minds of the citizens of Kirkwall he's pretty damn holy, he live a pure life. Anders is what he is, a rebel mage abomination thingy. He's aware of the fact that he's kind of monstrous, and that most of the world is afraid of him.

I want a DLC where I can tell Fenris to put his fist through Sebastions chest when he starts prognosticating about everything being the "Maker's Will "

My Hawke would rather be a revolutionist with Anders then have a sexless chaste relationship with someone doesn't even have the guts to reclaim his lands!!  <3:wizard:<3

It sure would have been nice to be able to remind Sebastion that my Hawke was a mage when he kept complaining about them,

This. Especially in that party banter with Fenris where Seb is all like "Oooh apostates are illegal, we should draw straws to see who should tell the templars." and Fenris is all like "WTF no. You want to mess with Hawke's friends? Have fun with that. (S)he'll probably stab you with an icicle."

I'm paraphrasing. But still.

I think Merril says something if she's there instead. "Are you talking about me?" or something to that effect.

Varric cuts that one off if he's in the party too. "I don't think I need to know this about either of you." Although for my Hawke it was perfect because Anders had already pulled the "I'll only hurt you we cant be involved stay away from me im a terrible horrible monster" thing and Hawke was all like "Don't need to know about the fantastic apostate sex i'll never have thanks!"

... I've never wanted to kill Seb. Not even at the end. Maybe slap him upside the head at a few moments but I can't blame him for acting or saying what he does at the end. I think he's a generally good guy who just gets caught up in all the insanity of Kirkwall just like everyone else.
I just can't dislike the guy outright.

I laughed so hard when I heard that!!!  Errrrr... you should talk to Hawke...
Why is it only Fenris and Zev (and a little bit Varric) that acknowledges that you're awesome/ a destroyer of anything that gets in your way?

I never wanted to kill Seb out of dislike. I actually find him likeable, if exasperating. I wanted to kill him out of practicality. Letting him march off to raise an army with the sole purpose of burning Kirkwall to the ground and then hunting someone I've just run off with seems, well silly. Kill him before he gets the chance, one fewer problem for the fugitive. Maybe I'm just cold.
