is there an eta for the next xbox patch? i've been looking but haven't found anything yet

no actual ETA but the dev guy on the support forums estimated it would take as long for the next patch as the first so another few weeks I'd imagine.

that's not too bad then. thanks for the info :)

What was up with that... that "nose-baby" thing!? (The images...)

Who started the baby topic?
No don't check. It was probably my fault

Do all the tranquil in Kirkwall have the sun burst chantry brand? I don't remember seeing the forehead brand in DA:O?

I don't remember seeing them in DA:O either. I just figured it was another redesign for DA2.

Unless it's specific to that circle/ chantry? Maybe they like their tranquils to be visible?

Sometimes I wonder if the Dragon Age writers are just making it up as they go along.
It might be unique to Kirkwall, or it could be that they didn't add the textures in DA:O (The brand is added through the "complexion" slider. I played with a Hawke with a tranquil brand on her forehead once... it was amusing for about five minutes)

Deviating from the current discussion somewhat but on my latest playthrough I finally managed to get round to having Anders be kidnapped by Grace and her Bloodmagey chums and oh goodness when he said "I'm always happy to see your face, but it seems particularly lovely right now" I just Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image The little 'damsel in distress' comment before it just made the whole rescue extra cute Posted Image

*relurks*

I've never had both my siblings dead before, but I'm planning to do a playthrough soon where I do; do I just need to romance Anders and leave him out of the group for that quest in order to get him kidnapped?

Exactly that Posted Image

Haha! It's awesome isn't it! The lovely threeparts made it and, even more awesome, I get to stare at The Smirk every time I post something.

Ah screw it, posting a bigger Smirk pic, cause it never gets old.

I must stop breaking my heart watching youtube snippets:

Edit
@purplecookie - that pic just about mended my heart. Posted Image

@Dreaming-in-Shadow - So long as there is a bit on continuity I don't mind. Replaying DA:O at the mo and Sten just looks awful. Qunari are WAY better now. So is the game play... so is just about everything else. Posted Image Plus there's Anders.

I didn't play any of the DA:O DLC or awakenings previously so I'm doing it all this time around. I'm gonna make myself cry with pre DA2 Anders, I can just tell.

Have you had the mabari-banter where Anders says "I miss my cat?"
If you have then Pounce will break your heart.

Amusingly Ser-Pounce-a-lot's special ability is making Anders babytalk to the cat. XD

I really do want to play Awakening again because, knowing what we know now, I think there's a lot there that will really make it a new experience... but the thought of it genuinely does make me feel quite sad. Poor Anders... poor Justice... WHY ya idiots, WHY???

I didn't get that marbari-banter with Anders - just the one about him being a cat person... I hope I get the Ser-Pounce-a-lot in my next playthrough.
And I only got one Fenris/Anders don't break Hawke's heart line, and not even the one about ripping it out. Fenris and Anders spent most of Act 3 killing any party banter - my squads were pretty silent. AWKWARD.

So it's an Anders Thread: We're determined to find a new level of masochism ! Then dig deeper.
I recently replayed Awakening  with my new canon Amell. I must say, I never missed this smart-talk, never-going-to-shut-up bastard. Now I do   Hell, I miss even Justice. Maybe it's an influence of DA2, or maybe it's because I didn't played a stick-in-the-arse kind of guy this time.
My point is: your soul will be damaged. Especially heart-ripping will be the banter - Nate seems particurly determined to see this two merged.

I laughed at that (the bolded text). XD
I am a terrible, perverted person.

One good thing that resulted of the Justice+Anders merge is that Anders is at least less of a selfish bastard than he was.
I can't imagine Awakening!Anders slumming in Darktown and spending all his time helping refugees and  escapee mages.

Velanna is even worst, I discovered her banters with Justice after DA2 to be honest, because she wasn't usually in group....I always went around with Anders Justice and Nathaniel (before Justice it was Oghren). But since she always disappeared at the final siege and Sigrun died, even with friendship maxed and personal quest done and keep fully upgraded, in one of my canons I left Anders and nate at the Keep...and yes they survived but I discovered that with that save Nate's cameo doesn't show up.
I hate Velanna for this trouble alone to keep her alive. XD

I still think though that by the end of Awakening, thanks to our dear Warden too, Justice didn't want to return to the Fade. I don't know if he fully realized that, but I'm sure he wanted to experience more of the mortal world. I don't think a "good" spirit would have proposed, with all the risks he had to know, to merge with a living mage. Anders was reckless and trusted him, but I think Justice was already corrupted and selfish when he proposed to merge. He could have just helped Anders from the Fade like Wynne's spirit, after all he was a spirit healer too with a strong connection to the Fade...but no, he wanted to be phisically in the real world :(

I perfectly can to be honest!
Maybe he would have wandered a bit more, helping now and then...and not open a clinic, since obviously it is risky and maybe without Justice he wasn't so motivated. But run around the world, helping when he could...I sure think he would. He is a good person, but of course if your very life is at stake, it is just normal to be a bit selfish to save your hide.

So, show of hands: who in this thread reads The Dresden Files?
Because the more I think about it, the more Harry reminds me of Anders (and vice versa).

It's not even hard to draw the parallels between them- both are idealists who don't like seeing innocent people get hurt. Both are unbelievably stubborn and set in their convictions. Both have become bitter and jaded, thanks to being viewed with suspicion (at best) and outright hostility (at worst) by their Circle's authority figures.
Hell, in Harry's case, Wardens pretty much are Templars, if one ignores the fact that they're mages themselves.
Both have gone through a ****-ton of hardships, from an early age. Both do morally suspect things, on a regular basis, to protect the people they care about and promote what they believe to be 'right'. They cut people out of their lives if they think it's too dangerous to involve other people, which sometimes usually almost always backfires spectacularly. They fall in love at the drop of a hat, even while acknowledging that it's a Really Spectacularly Bad Idea.
Oh, yes. Also, Anders and Harry have another thing in common: they've each had to deal with an unpredictable, dangerous spirit living in their head.

Honestly, you could pretty much slap a duster onto Anders and stick him in a contemporary setting, and I'd hardly notice the difference.

If you haven't read the series yet, I recommend it highly. Jim Butcher is awesome. (If the words "Riding an undead, polka-powered dinosaur down the streets of Chicago" does not make you want to rush out to the nearest bookstore, you are just not my kind of people.)

......I like your thinking.

Agreed (with Dunizel, quotes are playing up!). Anders was a little selfish yes to the extent that he was looking out for himself (doesn't everyone to varying degrees?) but to give an example that is often cited, when given the opportunity to run away from Vigil's Keep, he stays and helps the Warden. He's a spirit healer and that in itself shows a certain level of investment in helping others, so I agree with Dunizel that while perhaps sans Justice-merging he wouldn't have opened a clinic, if he'd encountered those in need of help on his travels/hiding from the Circle, I firmly believe he would.

Hey guys, have you heard Anders talking about his dream with the Grand Cleric? It's the conversation before the Justice quest, so technicly he's already decided to kill her and blow up the chantry but he jokes about dreaming of her naked? it's so messed up it actually freaks me out a bit Oo

Maybe that dream is the real reason he decided to blow her up. It scarred him mentally and he thought the only way to recover the last shreds of his sanity was to blow the Chantry to bitty bits.
