I don't think possessiveness extends to "won't bang anyone with a sexual history". Especially when he himself will have sex with Isabela. It doesn't particularly make any sense.

Umm... I don't remember. I've never actually played a mage myself, only watched my husband play. I just know Vincento will act all dodgy and then Bethany will show that she is a mage (same way as with mage!Hawke I believe). He then calms down and reveals where Feynriel went. I don't remember what he says exactly as it's been a while since I did it.

I think, as I said upon thinking a bit... it's probably that he thinks stuff with friends/companions probably means Hawke is interested seriously in the other person or something.

Of course, it's probably game mechanics.  Or a bug.  They could have made his thing check if any active romances exist, alas... I dunno why they made it so that sleeping with someone and dumping them is a no-go zone for Fenris.

That's pretty much the view I share. 

For sleeping and dumping I'd take it as him not wanting the same to happen to him.
