Just a bit of info for people trying to post pictures on the thread: when pasting in the url, make sure it's not an active link: image urls need to be plain black text, not the underlined clickable kind.

GOOD: [ìmg]http://www.url.com/picture.jpg[/ìmg]

If it shows up as hypertext, copy and paste the link into Notepad or something first, then C+P back into the reply box.

And you can still romance him once you get your friendship up high enough after his personal quest.  I thought mine was glitched too, but I did some more stuff (dragged him along) to get his approval up and then went to my house to do some enchanting randomly and he was there... ready for smooching.  Same works for rivalry I believe... although a friend of mine said it *might* be glitched because it didn't work for him, so I don't know.  

Edit: didn't read the part about not having the romance options... I guess it won't work then.   Fenris's romance was gloriously bugged for me (I did it before the patch so I have no idea if any of it has been fixed) and took me going back an entire Act to fix it... pro-tip, don't sleep or flirt with Isabela if you are romancing Fenris.  <_<

My plan was to sleep with him and Issy and THEN finally move on to a glorious Anders romance! But Fenris has spoiled my plan and I refuse to go back a whole Act just to attract him, I can barely stand him as it is. I did go back before his personal q to give him the book and go to the Fade and gain some rivalry points. I'm not sure it will be enough but I'm giving it another try before I give up. I just hope I'm not forced to get a slave in order to make him hate me enough to have sex with me... heeeh the game is slightly messed up sometimes. 

And I don't know why I'm playing Dragon Age at 3:30 in the afternoon when I should be using my studio hours to work on my project and NOT fail my course D:

To go back on topic: I blame Anders' robes for my inability to stop playing DA2, I keep thinking that if I look at him long enough and hard enough the damn thing will pop open and show me some Andersbutt at last. It hasn't yet.

I have only successfully completed the Fenris romance once (and although Anders is still my favorite, Fenris did grow on me... but it was a rivalmance)... all my other playthroughs have been the same as yours.  Fenris, then Isabela, then adorable Anders.
And the bolded portion: I like where your thoughts are going.    If I haven't achieved a level of creepiness before when it came to Anders, I definitely have now.

 Hah, I couldn't be bothered to replay a whole Act to convince Fenris to hate me enough to sleep with me so I cheated - and had my first proper romantic-getting-to-know-you conversation. And I feel... intrigued. Perhaps there is more to Fenris that I was willing to see before. But  "even if there was someone before I don't remember" REALLY? The same thing AGAIN Bioware? And Ohhh why am I falling for it AGAIN? But haha it's funny to see Anders as the new Zevran in terms of sexual experience and Fenris as the new Alistair.

Yeah...  it took finishing his romance to make me like him.  Before that, I was kind of on the sidelines.  Don't get me wrong, I see the appeal with Fenris and he is an interesting character... but he really knows how to push buttons in an extremely grating way.  (Not that Anders doesn't also...now I've dug myself into a hole).  Anyway, I highly recommend finishing a romance w/ him at least once.  And the banter is great, especially if you manage to romance Isabela as well (although Anders and Fenris can take it a bit far... man, are they vile to each other).  
I always thought Fenris channeled more of the Sten attitude at times... maybe it's just me.

Edit: Why is it I keep missing vital portions of people's posts? Anyway, in terms of sexual experience, yes I guess Fenris would be more like Alistair with his amnesia an all... an interesting amalgamation of Fenris and Alistair is running through my mind grapes right now... Fenris with Alistair's body?  Alistair with Fenris's body?  I'm not sure if I like.

The truth is I have no idea why he didn't hate me enough. Turns out I was only 5 rivalry short of what I needed for a romance, so just unlucky. I'm glad I didn't spend a week replaying Act 1 and 2 to get that extra 5 though 

I hated Fenris with a passion my first playthrough and when he came to fight me with Meredith I killed him without a second thought. But now I wish there was a way to make him join me against the templars in the end without being in a romance with him, is there a way?

If your friendship is high enough, you can persuade him to come back to your side when he shows up with Meredith before the Gallows fights start. I don't know about rivalry.

He'll join you against the templars if you're maxed out in friendship with him even without a romance.

He'll side with you with high enough rivalry as well. If you get him to 100% he'll join you against the Templars without argument. Lower than 100% and you'll have to convince him a little later that the mages are like slaves and he should fight for them. I've never romanced him, so that's definitely not a prerequisite.

That's actually really interesting, hearing Anders and Justice do some of the same lines.  The inflection's the same, so I guess they ran Howden's voice through some effects like they do for the ME cast?

Also, angry Anders is DAMN SEXAY.

I'm pretty sure it's the same voice actor Justice had in Awakening.
