Thanks, I can certainly use more feedback.  I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I write and how best to portray the story since it is nothing but a time killer for me right now.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who was disappointed by the dialogue options after Anders blew up the chantry? There were multiple ways of saying "I agree with what you did" and "You suck, Anders." Minerva's reaction would have actually been somewhere in between because she's not the most scrupulous person ever.

"Anders, you are a ******. Why the chantry? You KNOW that Meredith and her lackeys had the grand cleric under their thumbs. If you wanted to send a building into the stratosphere then it should have been Templar Hall. If Meredith was in a bajillion pieces then she'd be out of your hair. Thanks a lot, idiot. Now she's going to be an even bigger problem."

I feel a post-explosion fic coming on. Someone stop me because I still have a ton of work to do.

The 'Anders, what have you done?' line didn't fit my canon Hawke at all because she knew exactly what he'd done, but I just mentally rearranged things, no biggie.  I didn't expect Bioware to make allowances for me turning my Hawke into a messed up alcoholic anyway. :innocent:

You know you want to write it.

...I'm a bad influence :P  And I would've been disappointed in the post-Chantry dialogue options if one of them didn't fit my crazy little maleficar Hawke to a T.

Miri's fanfiction is good, and comes in both chaptered fics and one-shots for your reading convenience.  Forgiveness and As It was Before are two excellent one-shots that are full to the brim with angst.

When they were talking alone afterwards, there was NOTHING that would fit her reaction so I just picked "Any means to an end, right?"

Where was the option for Hawke to say, "Dude, you suck at this. I could have done it soooo much better"?

I have a fetish for brown haired, green-eyed video game protagonists. I play other types, but my canons are always the same.

I seem to go for the dark-haired, dark-eyed, sort-of asian protagonists. If they're human.
I also like contrast, so my elves tend to get stuck with the 'dark skin/white hair' combo.

^This. And where is the option to punch him? Thought I could understand if Hawke was too shaken to do it. Even friendHawke (rivalry in Last Straw still bugged - if he could act like this in the rivalry, then lack of punch option would be unjust)

What I wish we could say to Anders after the Chantry explodes:

Hawke: You know our home is right down the street.

Anders: What?

Hawke: Our home? The place we live in? The place that currently has the sodding Chantry raining down upon it?

Anders: Bloody flames, I left the manuscript for my Manifesto in there.

Hawke: Your Manifesto? Your Manifesto? Anders, you killed innocent people, you've sparked a war, you blackmailed and lied to me, and all you care about is your dammed Manifesto?!

Anders: Well I wan't exactly planning on living through this.

Hawke: Well too bad Serah Martyr, you're going to help us put things back in order. Then I am going to beat that sodding spirit out of your head.

Anders: But you can't-

Hawke: They said I couldn't flee the Blight, defeat the Qunari, kill a High Dragon, or square off against a Tevinter Magister. Don't presume to tell me what I can and cannot do.

Anders: I love you.

Hawke: You're not digging yourself out of this mess that easily sweetheart.

Anders: Bugger.

My characters tend to be dark-haired, usually black instead of brown.  Eye color varies wildly beyond that.  I realized I don't have a lot of blonde characters when I started playing Fallout 3, so my Fallout 3 girl and my DA2 character are both blondes, golden and platinum respectively.

LOL, that too.  My crazy little maleficar Hawke is a master schemer.  She could've assassinated the Grand Cleric and pinned it all on Meredith with no fuss.  BUT NO, we have to have Chantry Jenga instead.

Unfortunately, the accusations of railroading are accurate. THe ONLY way to prevent Anders' actions is to rewrite the plot of the game. As the situation currently stood, there wasn't an alternative action to head off Anders. The plot is arranged so that Hawke can't see the writing on wall and is forced to carry the idiot ball the moment Flemeth hands her that amulet.

I have tried, repeatedly, to think of a way that would accomplish what Anders wanted done without doing what he did, and given the conditions we're not allowed to head off in all three Acts, we're doomed to also carry the idiot ball as much as our Hawkes are.

Hahahahahaha!

Yeah, I wish there was an option to punch Anders for that. Would have made my rogueHawke feel slightly better about the mess he made. Maybe you can when they implement the rivalmance conversation in patch 1.03. But punching him would make sense for a friendship too.

I know there's an Origins mod which gives the femWarden the option to sucker punch Alistair on the top of Fort Drakon to keep him from sacrificing himself for his lady. Maybe someone will make a DA2 mod like this? *Looks around hopefully*

Yeah, but in rivalry he's too shaken and broken. Takes out all the fun.
But for a friendship? Sure! I'm dowloading it as soon as it comes. It would be in character for some of my Hawkes ;]

Yeah...that bothered me.  Which is why in Atlas, I wrote my Hawke as someone who COULD see the coming storm, and simply chose not to stop it.  I don't think it says anything good about me that I'd rather my Hawke be a willing accomplice than carry the Idiot Ball, but there you have it
