So, I know this has been brought up before, but I feel like ranting...

When it comes to dialogue in DA2, why in the world is so much of it EITHER/OR? Why can you only either flirt with Anders or have a conversation with the man? Why not both?! I've been playing as a new Hawke who isn't romancing Anders. I get to have so many nice chats with Anders that I never could have with him as the Hawke who is romancing him.

I really wish you could talk to the guy and then flirt with him, if you wanted. Or that they would have separate scenes for just talking to him if you're romancing him. It's nice to be able to have new dialogue for a new Hawke, but it's still frustrating. Like in the "putting out milk" scene, if you just talk with him because he has interesting things to say, you miss out on triggering the romance.
>_>

Really.

I got a lot more juicy dialogue out of Anders when I *wasn't* romancing him. :(

Oh my I feel your pain!

I just wish we could go to their houses, and repeat even old conversations like in the camp.
It shouldn't have been much a problem right?
Just add a wheel, select a topic, listen again to the converstation....and whatever you choose of course doesn't have any impact on the friend/rival scale.

None of the other NPC-dedicated threads I lurk in have a such strong opposition to facemorphs.

We... kind of do? Like I said, it's not like I can stop you, but you might as well be aware they aren't going to have a warm reception.

I'm not getting "huffy", just letting you know most of us kind of hate these kinds of things, in case you hadn't figured that out from the hundreds of pages we have dedicated to complaining about face morphs. If you want to keep posting them knowing nobody else likes them, I'm not sure what you'll be accomplishing, but knock yourself out.

I wanted a mod which kept his face mostly intact but gave him a haircut. This was the best I could do. *Shrug* I think he looks hot in it.

Hm, you might want to check this, no short haircut though, but the face is intact.

@Retrogue

Oooh, I love the scars in your screen caps!  I wish my computer wasn't so old and prone to overheating, so that I could play on the PC, lol.

It'd be kind of like showing up in the Fenris thread and saying, "Fenris is an incomprehensible character with no point and no plot significance at all."

Oh.

Oh, go right ahead. It's not mine. It was posted on the thread before and I just googled for it because the xbox leaves me without any of my own screenshots to post.

And, really, the biggest issue is that they're pictures. Unless your Anders is physically recognizeable as The Anders, he's not really anyone we want to look at so much.

Don't feel bad I use a PC and I couldn't get the screen cap button to work so I used the best program ever! Fraps!  It has saved me much heartache.

Oh, you

At least that involves some marginally interesting discussion along with the angerwank.

This picture, aside from giving me chibirage, always looks like he's eating the cat's brain when I scroll past it.

You can change the keybindings and even the key to get screenshots ingame in the Keybindings.ini (notepad opens and modifies it) in \\Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\Settings (or wherever you have your game preferences stored).

I had to do it it :P Saved me a lot of time

I resort to either shamelessly stealing other people's screencaps or drawing pictures. At worst, I steal screenshots and then mangle them into something new on photoshop. It all depends on how lazy I'm feeling and what kind of Anders I want to oggle or if I want to terrify people. ^_^

I tried that and I just couldn't get it to work so I went with the "F'et" plan and use Fraps.  I had that program from having played WOW.  I don't know why but even with Origins I was **** out of luck with the screen cap button in the game no matter what I changed it too.  I think it just hates me.:crying:

Amondra, have you tried using the 'print screen' button? If you're on a laptop, it might be part of the 'home' key, in which case you have to hold down 'fn' (lower left hand corner of the keyboard) and 'print screen' at the same time.

I am on a laptop, and I know it was that before I tried switching it like six times.  For whatever reason I can never get them to work, not even on the desk top. *rages at tech*  I honestly have germlins *cookies to all the shadowrunners who got that*

His jaw is narrowed a bit and his hair is completely different but I think the morph leaves his face pretty familiar.
