Isfenderela? So Anders is nowhere in that one? Geesh.
He's in there! I mis-typed, it should have been Isfendersela. I definitely heard a "ders" in there.

It sounds like they use the same response even if he proposes that he moves in. I guess they figured that the build up was long enough, and he'd been dropping enough hints about needing a place to stay, that most players would agree.

How do you get the dialog to give him the key in Act 3? All I can seem to do is work on his quest or get his one line "your support has meant the world to me" sorts of lines.
In the first conversation in Act 3, choose the left hand option at the beginning. Hawke will give him the key then. I think he always gets the key, but you don't always get dialogue about it if you open up the conversation with something else.

I started a Garrus romance but broke it off before it got to the romance scene at the end because I felt really guilty about that poor face-down picture (apparently Shepard was guilty, too). I have no idea what Garrus said, though, because I felt so bad I kind of had to skip through his dialogue. Is there a video anywhere? I never have the heart to break up with a character, even if I reload. Even after I reload, I feel like somehow they will know I did it. The only time I was able to break up with Garrus was with my really mean Shepard and I had to reload instantly and be nice to him. That wasn't even during the romance scene. I couldn't imagine ending it with someone during the romance scene.
So I clicked on Anders post-distract-Cleric and he was all 'You've made it perfectly clear where you stand, Champion.' Like he's so peeved at me that he can't even call me 'Hawke!' Just because Meredith thinks I'm the only one who still likes her... (Incidentally, her back story is so sad!
I did feel a little miffed that when I clicked on him and Anders was trying to give away his pillow to Varric, he noticed me and said he hadn't expected to see me again. So what? I unwittingly enable him blow up the Chantry and all of a sudden he's done with me? I know he's kind of preoccupied but...classy, Anders. Realy classy.

Actually, listening to a lot of Florence + the Machine makes me think of Anders now. I can't decide if it really is reflective of him/his romance, or if it's just because that's all that's on my brain recently.
Here here.
How about
The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

Yeah, I am of the opinion that his sense of humor was a coping mechanism.

A hell of one. I don't imagine the darkspawn nightmares coupled with the solitary nightmares made for emotional stability.
So, that's why he agreed to let in Justice. He's never going to be in Solitary again.

The argument might be made that he wasn't, particularly. *half-grin* It's interesting going back and replaying Awakening now; take the right dialogue choices and there's a very clear edge to his personality even at the start. Plus, anyone who takes that much amusement out of a possessed cat killing templars is possibly not one you want to believe when he's standing amongst corpses and saying "I didn't do it." I'm getting less and less convinced of that these days.
Certain asides during the gameplay like "I'm always up for a spot of iconoclasm!" just about made me choke when revisiting it later, too.
(and yet I love him still. Dammit, Anders.

I was so surprised when the kiss happened, because it was a situation where I just idly clicked on him after the post-Dissent talk and all of a sudden he was happily setting milk out for cats and Hawke was being all sparkly and flirty. Then he wentagain and then...KISS.
I am not lying at all when I say that after the kiss I got hella lost in Darktown trying to get to the map. I was imagining Varric and Fenris having to grab Hawke and drag her to that lift before she happy-flailed herself over a ledge.
Hawke:..eeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
Varric: Although awkward, at least I'll have something to work from. She's usually not very forthcoming with these sorts of details.
Hawke: ...eeeeeeeeeeeeee...
Fenris: I could have lived a long and happy life without seeing such a thing, myself.
Hawke: ...eeeeeeeeeeeeee...
Fenris: It could not have possibly been that good.
Hawke:...eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
Varric: Ok. Even I'm starting to get annoyed.
Varric: (to Cassandra) "...and then the Champion squealed for days."
LOL! Me too! I wasn't expecting the kiss at all; I was waiting for the typical Bioware "I will think about it and come by at a plot-appropriate time" conversation. XD
And I definitely ran straight for the map as fast as Hawke's legs could take her.
Hawke: OMG WHERE IS THE MAP
Varric: While we're here, shouldn't we go clear those thugs out of sewer like we said we--
Hawke: NO. MAP. MUST GET HOME.
Fenris: I just saw some deathroot right over there if you want to go pick it.
Hawke: GOTTA GO HOOOOOOOOME!

I did like one line he had with rivalmanced Hawke. I aksed about the potion and when he admitted there wasn't any I said that I didn't want anything to do with it. He responded (paraphrased): "Fine! Don't trust me! But I'm never going to trust you again. Is that what you want Hawke?" When I took the 'fine I'll help' option then I got (again, paraphrased): "You surprise me again, Hawke. I'm glad to see that all those years ranting weren't a waste of my time after all."

Yes, I always figured someone laughing about a death gurgle (even if he didn't cause it) obviously at least has major Templar issues. He jokes a lot more, but his bitterness about the Circle and Templars is very much there in Awakening.

I did like the acknowledgement that Anders had been ranting at him about the mages for the 3 years they'd been together. Add that with finding his manifesto everywhere and I can say my rivalmanced Hawke had changed his mind. (He just wanted Anders to find a peaceful solution). Stayed with Anders because he still loves him and now believes that while mages shouldn't be running around willy nilly they don't belong in the Circle with people watching over them who face no repercussions if they decide to go wacko.
