Kittens and jewelery weren't what made me think Anders' orientation might be a little left of straight. It was mostly his interactions with other characters. While he only explicitly expressed interest in women, there was enough of a flirtatious tone with some male characters coupled with descriptions of the Circle as a sort of free love zone that made me wonder. And I turned out to be mostly right (though that's not saying much as I go into just about everything with slash goggles firmly in place, as for the longest time you weren't going to see any explicitly gay characters so you had to make do with suggestive dialogue and milk it for all it's worth...and that sounded dirtier than I meant).

@Highcastle I assumed he was probably bi by his attitude towards sexuality alone. I never got a huge flirty vibe from his coversations with Nate, Oghren or the male Warden, but I never thought he was totally straight, either.

i always thought the scarf was supposed to be an ironic present; a reminder of the convo the warden and anders had when he joked he'd knit scarves for chantry mothers or something

i don't know if i'm being heretical here, but i think i prefer greg ellis as anders. he's better at snark, and i love the"not when i'm naked" purr

Even though it is the same voice, I still think he acts completely different. The Awakening Anders lines for me are so distant from Cullen tone that sometimes I even forget it is the same actor.

SurelyForth took the words out of my mouth. I too assumed he was bi because of his attitude towards sexuality. And Anders wasn't the only mage with stories the Circle's approach towards relationships and sex, even dear old Wynne admitted to it.

Sometimes how comfortable he is with his sexuality scares me lol.  I was watching him play and he was like "You know you can play on your computer and stare at Anders..." my reply was "Who said I was looking at Anders..."  He then asked that I stop undressing his Hawke with my eyes:pinched:

He said Anders needed a less agressive look Hawke....I then said that Anders had more beard so clearly we know who the girl is.
