Someone on the Fenris thread insinuated I was a straight guy. The horror. It made me feel like this:

Just because I was joking about Fenris... forget Fenris, Anders knows what is up:

What a dick. Why would he even say something like that?

I think it was joke because I said that Femris is hotter than Fenris, but EVEN IN JEST it is the worst thing I have ever been called D':

Well, the obvious answer is "Because it's the Fenris thread."

I don't think I've mentioned how much I love you Anderstians or whatever. You're so self-aware. And not douches at all. <3

[EDIT] Femris is WAY hotter than Fenris, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a lesbian.

So I am slow, but I willing to bet that DA3 in in Orlais. Bhodan was talking about heading there in act three in a cutsceen. We all know they will be in the third game.

Hahaha! I saw that and was like Posted Image

Femris is way more masculine than Fenris anyway, infact out of all the companions Fenris is only outgirled by Bethany.

And to bring it back to Anders...

I keep giggling in DA:A because Anders has a bit northern (english) accent, a milder version of the ferelden which fight at the beginning of DA2. I can just see the whole story moving to Orlais and suddenly they all are the 'normal' voices and any Fereldens suddenly sound like Mancunians!!! Posted Image

I'd have liked if every character remained consistent in his/her writing, but the picture is surely hilarious ;)

I like the fact that Sebastian writes like an infant.

So, if joking about Femris makes one a straight dude, does that mean we're all straight dudes here because of all the times we've made Anders into a girl?

I'm really, really torn on this. On one hand... Orlesians! Val Royeaux, the jewel of Orlais! Shoes! Hair! Feathers! Balls and bards, politics and religion, intrigue and illicit affairs! Playing a assassin courtesan, or an exiled member of nobility!

On the other hand... Orlesians. So far the only voice that hasn't driven me crazy is Stroud/Riordan. Even Leliana, with her breathless lisping, started grating on me pretty fast. Unless they find a way for the majority of NPCs to be pleasant to listen to, I'd be less than excited about spending 50 hours in their company.

Of course, just because Bodahn and Sandal are going somewhere doesn't mean we'll follow. People were convinced Wade and Herren would show up in Kirkwall, and that didn't happen, and our two friendly dwarves weren't in Amaranthine.

I'm still hoping for a game set in Antiva or Nevarra, myself.

^^ re Bolded. Who's to say they don't get waylaid by some horrible misfortune on the way? Trouble seems to follow them a little too closely.
And I want to know where 'home' is for Sandal... because that kid is creeeeeeepy.

I'm kind of wondering if Sandal is actually a half-dwarf. He's noticeably larger than other dwarves, relatively hairless, and unusually skilled at working with lyrium. I'm not sure if the mages in the Circle would have cared, noticed or brought it up, but the boy does make me curious.

Interesting link, thank you. And it's something to consider - eugh, what if he's half dwarf half Flemeth (or some other crazy powerful mage)?
I'm still overly freaked out by the 'Not enchantment' line with the frozen orgre, he's got some major mojo powers going on that we don't get to see. And we don't get to see his intentions - apart from apparently wanting to turn up in our heroes endgame to help them tool-up before the final bosses. There must be some reason that he always manages to fight his way in to be of help.

It's been mentioned before, but I still wonder if Sandal had any part in helping Anders make the bomb. I don't think he helped directly, but Bodahn does mention that Anders is very interested in his enchantments. Considering the size and seemingly magical quality of the blast (it didn't look like just a gunpowder explosion), I wouldn't be surprised if Anders found a way to add a bit of Sandal's "boom" into the mix.

I think you're probably right. However, Anders certainly has a bit of knowledge about explosives from DA:A (helping the dwarf dude with the lyrium sand etc) but I imagine that Sandal could refine and improve anything Anders could have cobbled together. I can't see the bomb/stuff/thing/ being terribly large if he managed to get it into the chantry - but then it must have been large enough to warrant a distraction. Something the size of a crate?

Well, I'm sure Dworkin's explosives helped with the gunpowder aspect, but those still looked mostly like normal explosives. None of the pink, glowy madness of the Jenga.

I always imagined something a bit smaller. Since he seems to go to the Chantry with Hawke (if Hawke helps him obviously) I would think it would have to be small enough to hide in his coat. So, at largest, maybe the size of a large book. Considering magic seems to be involved, it doesn't seem too much of a stretch for him to be able to make something smallish that still creates a big explosion. Sandal's enchantments seem pretty small but carry a huge punch. So if he could get an explosive rune from Sandal it could intensify anything else he made, or something.

i know this was a while ago; but if either beth or carver were brunette it would be easier to see hawke as naturally blonde or red. the mismatch annoys me a bit, even though i'm a mismatch myself! i have 3 siblings who are all strawberry blonde and i'm golden-brown beneath my dye-job.

i don't think sandal is a half-dwarf. it has always seemed to me like he has downs syndrome, which is what made his parents leave him in the deep roads. then he became lyrium addled

What if was crazy red corrupted lyrium? I know my magpie/klepto Hawke definitely picked up enough of that on her travels. Or am I drawing a tenuous link?

I like the idea of something the size of a book... that he would have kept under his coat? Because doesn't he imply he wants to get something from the Chantry?

I think he just says there is one thing left and that he needs you to distract the Grand Cleric. So, if Hawke thinks he still needs ingredients it can sort of be construed that he's snatching something from the Chantry. If the bomb was small enough to hide somewhere on his person, that would help him pull off that particular lie.

Of course it's still hard for me to imagine because even the first time I played and was unspoiled I figured he was planting something to assassinate Elthina. Little did I know it was bigger than that.

Ahhh, that's it. My poor unsuspecting mind. I thought he was going to blow himself up and needed something/ book/ incense/ who knows that he could only get in the Chantry.

*sigh*

i just finished offered and lost. i told elthina 'someone' was using her name to validate qunari hate crimes, and the grand cleric being who she is believed it would sort itself out (she knew her signature was being faked and did nothing). so of course hawke ends up murdering 50 mobbing rebels.
and without metagaming (!) a whole bunch more will be killed when the qunari attack

as burke said; the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. i'm sure it's been quoted before, but hey, nm.

edit; idiot human psychology means its easier to imagine the heartbreak caused by a few deaths rather than hundreds. i place the blame squarely on elthina for the mass murder i had to commit. (forget varnell; no one will mourn him!)  the stupid woman knew a crime had taken place and should have at least dealt with that. GRRRR!!!

I'm still firmly of the opinion that she set the wheels in motion.

Elthina: Fetch me that rabid anti-Qunari Zealot
Lacky: Sister Petrice?
Elthina: That's the one.
Petrice: mumblemumblehatehate
Elthina: I have a 'problem' with our Qunari visitors.
Petrice: May I borrow your stamp?
Elthina: Certainly. I'll be upstairs praying.
