Hope I'm nottoo late for the Doctor Who stuff. Tom Baker would be disapproved indeed. I tried to find something to help make up for that.. But instead I found this, and of course it made me think of folks on this thread and sillier days.

Posted Image

Oh, uh...yeah.. something something Andersbutt so I'm on topic.

Edit: Ah-ha! Found what I was looking for about folks complaining about Tennant ( who I do like).

First Doctor worries over you people.

My favourite is the bit at the end with "with male lovers." Multiple counts of hypocricy for the lulz!

Divine Justinia V slept with Marjorlaine while the former was a Revered Mother. Proof of Chantry corruption?

Guys, help me. There's a templar at the docks during the day in Act I, asking after a blonde female elf, who he claims is a blood mage. Do we run into her? Who is she? My memory is of no assistance whatsoever right now.

I think it's just random background talking. I've never run into her either

I normally don't post here...was just passing through...but I think the dialogue may be a reference to this elf.

And now I'm going to have nightmares ;) If it weren't for my Dalish rogue being slightly sane I'd have to agree with Anders that all dalish women are crazy

Hmmm the first question is just a random banter of the people in Kirkwall. But yes it might be Velanna [like what whykikyouwhy said]

Ha! Mine is the same. I laughed so hard after what my Hawke said "Want a sandwich?" Hawke would really be an inspiration to generations of romantic poets haha!:lol: To add another, he would be the romantic comedy poet if I might say. Nice job Hawke for making Anders smile as well

Edit: and again here's the picture of them eating sandwich :D

Ah, Anders. The first, and probably the last time he ever says anything nice to Merrill.

As for my favourite scene... hmm. As heartbreaking as it is, the scene after he plants the bomb on the friendship path, where he will tell you that he loves you, and how much the cause means to him. The writing there just... hurts so good.
Other than that, probably the kiss during the first half of the romance scene, where he reaches out to touch Hawke's face before drawing in for the kiss. It's very sweet.
Ooh, or the part where he says that he'd rather be on the run with Hawke than safe with anyone else, but I love the idea of them running off to be fugitives from the law.

Pretty much most scenes, really.

Leaving the smirk in because 1) Anders smirk and 2) That line is, far and away, my favourite bit of flirty dialogue in the game.

As for my favourite Anders moment, romance-wise, I think the whole "Beginning of Act II" dialogue may have been it, if you flirt the whole way through, because you get that line, concern for your safety re: You are an apostate/ Helping apostates is a hanging offence, declaration that he would fight to keep you safe, more flirting, and then more fighting his own feelings to keep you safer.

Favourite Anders moment, funny-wise, I like his early banters with Varric, the one about the human, elf and dwarf walking into the bar where he just steals the joke from Varric, the one about Bartrand revenge, and the one where he threatens to declare his undying love for Varric. Ok so really I just love the Anders-Varric bromance, becuase it means no matter what, Anders gets a little bit of love in Kirkwall.

Favourite Anders moment overall? It might be the staff-thumping declaration of war leading into the shoulder-sagging realization of what he just did, because that's an incredibly powerful moment. It's like a lifetime's worth of anger and purpose building up, peaking and suddenly dissipating in the face of his own mortality and how he's going to die very, very soon. (Or so he thinks).

I don't have any swoon worthy pics to go with it. But probably have to be during the romance sceen if you slept with Fenris first and then say he left you.

Anders response along the lines of "I'm sorry he hurt you, but I'm not sorry it lead you to me" turns my heart to goo everytime.

Many of the scenes others have listed are among my favorites. I also love threatening him over the Deep Roads maps to get the "Don't threaten me, little girl" line.

First kissing scene. I've only done the friendmance but the actual kiss is the same. It's hot. And I have to say I like watching two hot men go at it. Rawr.

Back to Doctor Who, being slightly older (read: middle aged, bah) and English I grew up with it. Jon Pertwee was my first Doctor but I was watching Tom Baker for most of my formative years. He was a very hard act to follow.
Despite the lack of wobbly sets and dodgy monsters (OK, there are still some dodgy monsters...), the newer shows just don't have the charm of the old. I think it's partly down to the fact that the episodes are self contained, rather than four part adventures which had cliffhangers at the end of each episode as in the old days. I miss that. I also disapprove of how Russell T and his cronies messed with Doctor Who lore on a lot of things (particularly the Daleks). Anyway, back to Anders...

What can I say, I am titally smitten. I can understand the lying, I wouldn't have wanted to know his plans. I would hjave been trying to find a compromise but he has enough conviction to make the hard choice. Does that make him a terrible man, I donkt think so, do I agree with him, maybe not totally, do I love hm, yes. So choice made. Now, I am rather frunk, but I doubt I'm alone in thinking he is by and far the most intersting and most affecting character in a video game. Had he not been romanceable 0i doubt we'd have cared as much, but there he is, the mAn you/ your character loves, does possibly the worst thing you've ever seen. Anyone tells me that they don't initially stand by their love is lyingm

Hahaha ohh the eurovision drinking night is tonight then? How did Britain do? And it's so rediculously adorable that you'd admit your love for Anders when drunk. Wherever he is it makes his good pixel heart beat with joy! Now why don't you get down to writing that awkward fanfiction piece I've been waiting for since you said you'll write it you mentioned the other day?

Ack - this children is why vodka and the internet do not mix.

If you strip out all the typo's I still stand by what I said though. If rl hubby did something totally messed up I'd be livid, but I'd need more than the time it took to get to the gallows to even begin to deal with what had happened. He'd be alive until the immediate danger had passed, and then we'd deal with his actions afterwards. Killing him on the spot - even though he's asking for it - is too reactive. How on earth could you make a clear decision within that time frame.

And.. ahem... awkward fanfic is coming along there might be two versions of it so I'll let you have a peek and tell me which works best. :P

And yeah, Eurovision vodka fest (with added cupcakes) - we sucked pretty badly. Sound levels were all off that the girly one couldn't hit a note if he tried. I was suprised we did so well initially... then about 5 countries in we were only getting 2-3 points. Ended up with 100? Not sure, anyway Jedward were actually pretty entertaining, quite suprised. Moldova were the best though, but they came in below us I think. I'm still baffled that Azabaijan won - I mean serioulsy? Really?

Edit
Oh, favourite Anders scene... Act 3 flirt, there's not a lot said, but it's the most intimate and realistic bit of relationship I've ever seen in game. And that smirk. *melts*

My favorite scene is in Act 3, after you give him the key to the house you lead him on 'Merril is gone now, is that the best you can think of?', and he starts walking towards you with that sexxyyyy look in his eyes. Get ready for some good old lovin'!

Gawd, I wish that exchange had ended with a kiss.

I liked just about any scene in which Anders smiles, smirks or laughs.  I like taking a non-flirty path in Act 2's Questioning Beliefs, just so I can get his response to Hawke asking why nobody's happy to just be the best wallop player in Lowtown.  (Though then I, naturally, reload, flirt and pretend that it was just one big conversation.)

I always talk to him at the beginning of Act 2 with Izzy in the party, so I can get the scene of him prescribing a salve for Seneschal Bran.  More smirkage, and, "Pirates tend to dock in... unsavory places."  I do have a soft spot for Bran, though, (probably my favorite non-party NPC) so that likely has something to do with it.

Oh, and Moldova totally should have won Eurovision.
