I'd say no more than three years.

Oh, I just told Merrill that getting possessed never helps anything and Anders replied with "Tell me about it."

How are they 25 if it's supposed to span 10 years?

I was doing the math for a fic about Moira meeting Anders. I figured he was 7 years older than the Warden. Hawke is probably 20-21 when Lothering fell. I put Moira's age at about 22 at the Joining. So.. 8-9 years older than Hawke, maybe ten?

I don't think we were ever given a definite age. In my head canon, Hawke is four years older than the twins, which would put her at 23 when she meets a 29-ish (imo) Anders in Kirkwall.

Beth and Carver were Hawke's younger siblings. I'm not sure how much older he/she was though.

Yes I know. I'm kinda trying to figure it out here :P
I'm saying she's 5 years older than the twins. At least. Varric is clearly considering Beth/Carver a kid still, but not Hawke. And it wouldn't be too creepy to be with Anders. (Who is how old?)

Hawke is over 18 but under 25, I'd say.  Leandra or Gamlen definitely mention that Leandra ran away with Malcolm Hawke "25 years ago" during Act 1, so Hawke couldn't be older than that.  (I think it was 25 years, anyway.)

Technically the story only cover 7 years.  It's 10 years by the time Varric is talking to Cassandra, though.

I'm gonna say anywhere from 3-5 years older and agree with you there.

You don't play the whole 10 years. It's 1+3+3 before the final boss battle.

P.S. Leandra was definitely pregnant when they ran ;)

I think the "creepiness" of large age gaps is subjective.  I personally like older men.  Old enough to be my father?  No.  But I don't think Anders is THAT much older than Hawke.  Maybe five or six years?  That's not that huge a difference, personally.

During year 1 Gamlen mentions that Leandra ran off with Malcolm 25 years ago. So when fleeing Lothering Hawke must be at least 19 in order to be older than the twins and no older than 24 because Hawke can't have been born before his/her parents met.

Edit: Ninja'd.

My Hawke is 22 when she meets Anders (who in my head is about 28-29), but being in charge of a family for 4 years has made her mature for her age.

Goodbye! I need to try an mHawkexAnders playthrough!

I feel like I'm missing content here only romancing as a female. Seriously no context for Karl. My macho Hawke loves men that like kitties.

:wizard:

They can run off and, instead of kids, raise an army of kittens to fight in the war. They'll all have armor (except for the mage kittens who will wear little robes and ugly hats). Ser Pounce will command them.

Dragon Age: The Rise of the Kittens please!!! I would so pay to see Ser Pounce and his army of rebel kitten mages!

Anyway, I was playing last night as an mHawke romancing Anders. Why is it that the dudes get an awesome romance and the moment my Lady Hawke flirts she gets the all angsty-pants from him?

It's like Bioware sent out a warning to the fangirls that they will cry pixel tears by the end but seriously!! The male romance is so much better....I wanted my Lady Hawke to experience that, not the "stay away.....please...I will hurt you~". I liked that you get to see a much more light hearted Anders, a la Awakenings for a slight moment.

*sigh*

Yeah, 5-6 years is nothing.

Orsino was suave hot (before he went all Harvester and I learned he was ok with some creepy research!) He is definitely much older than Hawke.

Anders...34?

Now I'm excited because I'm playing mHawke and working on the romancing there. :: cackle ::

Yeah, I'd say he's 6 or 7 years older.  Maybe around 29 or 30, while to me Hawke is 23.

It makes his "Don't threaten me, little girl" comment much more interesting, IMO.  But I found that strangely titillating anyway.

It just makes the DOOOOM downswing that much stronger, since it didn't start off on that note (well, at least in terms of how he acts toward Hawke, he did just get finished killing an ex-lover).

The more I hear about mHawke/Anders, the more I'm pissed that a) they didn't include the Karl revelation in the fHawke game and B) that they chose Boulton to voice mHawke. He sounds so much like Vaughan that it makes me a little sick to my stomach to hear him.

Boo-hoo.

*sheds a happy tear*

Glad other people are trying it. And playing MHawke. Boulton <3

Gay Anderps ruined me for other LIs and female Hawke.

At which point does he say this?

Leandra has the best comments on love interests. "Your pirate girl", ahihihi.
