The story would be better if he came from nothing and died... but I just can't do that. Selfish selfish Hawke.

Well Karl was sent to Kirkwall because they needed new talent. Couldn't the same thing have happened to Anders? I don't know how easy it is to come by healers. So he was sent the the Fereldan circle? And because of his distaste for his father, he threw out his name, and had everyone there call him Anders.
i wonder what happened to all the kirkwall talent? oh wait... tranquil
seems kinda silly to send more mages there

Hi there,
so I have a question: I am rivalmancing Anders and I wonder... am I the only
one that will never be able to look at Justice the same way again whenever I
play awakening?... I seriously hate him now... <_<
It's going to be a while before I play Awakening again simply because I find the situation really sad, but I feel differently to you about Justice, I don't hate the character because my view is he's as much a victim/at fault as Anders is. They both agreed to merge and their unfortunate amalgamation is a result of each entity corrupting the other. It's a tragic situation for both of them really.

I was under the impression he was always in the Fereldan Circle. Since he was already 12 when he was first captured and Irving is mentioned specifically in conjunction with his escape attempts and what not...it seems unlikely he could have proven himself capable between the age of 12, with no training, and whatever age he was when he was an apprentice trying to escape during swim lessons at the Fereldan tower.
And my totally unsubstantiated opinion is that he was from a middle or lower class family. It just seems right for him.

True. Also yeah he came from a lower class family, it also adds to his rebel hottness, also his scruffy personality.

I also agree that Anders probably isn't from high class. I like to think of little 12 year old Anders coming to the Circle, and perhaps he's only really been around his parents (homeschooled? idk) so he has a bit of a funny accent still, and they tease him and call him Anders because that's what kids do, and it sticks
I mean, I don't really know if I believe that or not, but I like thinking of Anders with a lingering Anderfels accent when he was little. Sue me.

Kids are brutal! I bet mage kids are even worse. They probably set fire to each others' underwear and put down grease traps for the nerdy kids to slip in and drop all of their books.
