So thank you, Anders thread, for allowing me to believe that humanity isn't 100% doomed.

*pats*
Give it time, my friend.
Give it time.

Seriously, though, I agree. We are ridiculously awesome.

Hey now. Not 100% doomed does not mean 100% saved. I'm of the opinion that we're only mostly doomed. Which, admittedly, still sucks. But what can you do?

Ha! The Anders thread: Everyone here is secretly Zevran.

Christ on a bicycle...what a post to have go to the top of the page. Fine. To compensate for lightheartedness - here:

Then of course is the thing with spirits not needing brains (actual physical brains I mean) to have personalities and such. (Like the spirit of Valor in the Fade along with the demons). If he didn't need a brain then why would he need one in Anders' body?

That was not a literal statement. I meant they shared the same "wavelength" of thought.

Ah my bad.

@UpsettingShorts: the fact that you bring up a post from months back (one incident mind) as proof that I'm "always going to jump to conclusions." is laughable. But as you said I'm gonna "play the victim." and ignore your point. I'm also gonna "play the victim." and tell you to have a nice day.

You can argue that it's better he die with his individuality than his sanity, but he can't be saved.

That's the basis of my preference for the rivalmance:  I'm fighting to preserve as much Anders as I can.  He's going to die.  He wants to die.   He's miserable and falling apart and has been for years.  But I don't have to be cruel to rival him or rub his face in his mistakes (regardless of other people's interpretations of various lines) and I would rather he preserve what he can of himself while he can than be subsumed by this creature that he admits he irretrievably made a part of himself as a bad decision.   And the angst!  :crying:

That's fine.

I think Anders really needs to die at the end of the rivalry path, even if you spare him (and judging by the non-romance templar ending, he will). Believing that he can somehow make it through that degree of psychological instability is a little unrealistic, I think.

That certainly explains the kissing everyone and the open marriage!

It was just the easiest to find. Only had to Google three words. Thanks though, I think I will have a good day.

Mmm, where's my coffee.

Maybe that's why I always feel out of place when I stop by.

I'm secretly Daveth.

There's a big difference between mostly doomed, and all doomed.

And now I'm wondering if the answer to everything isn't just chocolate covered rocks.

I don't recall much from the Princess Bride other than the "you killed my father prepare to die." scene.

There were chocolate covered rocks?

Just the one, but you couldn't have had the "to the pain" scene without it!  Except I always thought it was a walnut, shell and all.  Guess who hasn't watched it in HD yet?

Erm, on-topic...Hawke rougue would make an excellent Dread Pirate Roberts with Anders as Buttercup.

Andercup: Blow up the chantry, stable Hawke.
WesHawke: As you wish.

I know I saw that scene with the chocolate-covered pills somewhere on the internet.
Come, self! To the YouTubemobile!

EDIT: Dammit! Ninja'd!
Anyway, the chocolate makes it go down easier.

Me. I havn't seen it in a few years now. I'm not entirely sure why I figured it was a chocolate covered rock, just that it made sense at the time.

I can't see it. *is practically blind.* is it in the background? Or am I missing something obvious?

...Is it the thing the guy in blue drops on the ground at the beginning?

No, it's in the scene Ashwraith posted. That's is a totally different but equally awesome scene.

Sorry!  I linked the "to the pain" scene and not the miracle pill scene.  The pill itself makes its appearance at 4 minutes, if you want to skip all the "to blave" stuff.
Eek, now I've been 'd.

Thanks.

No problem. It was a good scene.

Edit: Totally off topic but those sand ninjas in Fable3 suck. I hate those things. Stupid flipping cheesy bastards.

Wow, excellent art! Love their facial expressions.

I was planning to have a ladyHawke playthrough with this bittersweet ending. When I can conjur up the will to play the game again (and when I say it like it's a chore, then it's going to be a long time).

Honestly it's a game and a fantasy world anything is possible, mostly with the Bioware writers. Seriously for all we know Anders and Justice have two separate thoughts, I tend to believe they do. However I think most the time they go off at once, so Anders isn't sure which one is his all the time, adding he is mentally unstable, I can see him getting confused easily, and I think being with Justice intensifies all emotions with that at it's core, like justice, vengeance, retribution. So he thinks it is Justice taking over. Even after the war is over assuming mages win and Anders is alive, he might seem alright, but lets say he sees someone getting mugged, well I feel sorry for the mugger, because their main cause is gone, doesn't mean they won't find other injustices. Kinda like I feel if a valor spirit decided to help Anders. He would be something else in the field of battle, and emotions tied to that core would be heightened.

I am rambling sorry, also sorry if my point got lost in there English isn't my first language

Or they are one and he is an Abomination through and through. It doesn't mean he will eventually turn into the ones we see in the game, he could still be "Anders" just with an overwhelming sense of Justice.

Like I said fantasy world anything is possible, also they not know everything there is to spirits and all that jazz.

Before Act 3, there was always a disconnect between what Anders and Justice were saying, and Anders does not even remember what Justice said or did.

But in Act 3, when Anders was ranting at Orsino, him and Justice spoke in perfect unison. This seems to imply taht they either became one, or one took over the other. Since the game tells us that Anders was losing control, I think it was justice taking over.

Hawke sparing Anders might have triggered an emotional response other than hatred that may have made him sound more like Anders than Justice (the latter only seems to appear when angry, / threatened so there was no reason to show up).

Just my speculation though.

I wish I could claim that as my own. But it's not. I can't draw anything much past stick people. All credit goes to TheSilverRaven.

What? I missed the discussion? :( Too bad.

Anyway all I can say is that I will still side with the mages [and with that I support Anders with that despiite not approving the means]

It's lunch time here so I'll enjoy eating and will check back later

On a Anders and Fable 3 note. I could've sworn I heard Howden in the game. I just can't remember who.

I think he does a villager in Brightwall.

I don't know if the villagers' location and name are random though.
