@ElleMullineux: I think his rivalry/friendship threshold has to be below a certain amount.

I never got him to snitch on me either :/

I had him at max friendship and he ratted me out.  Maybe he hated me?

Really?

Huh. Maybe it's a rivalry thing? I only lie when I rivaled him.

I want to se this for the lulz.

That's weird, I had him at max friendship in my current game and he didn't say anything.

I think if you have him at max friendship and he rats you out it's a bug. He only ratted me out when he was in the grey area with no bonuses.

Yeah, didn't have him maxed, and wanted to slap the crap out of him in that scene!

I never had Fenris rat me out. Instead he was like: "It is no use she [Hawke] won't listen." Which just made me smile because he knew me so well. Of course I was much more focused on first Hawke vs. Meridith in the intro to the quest and then Anders vs. Meridith in end of the quest to pay to much attention to Fenris.

Fenris ratted me out to Meredith with full rivalry on a playthrough when I romanced him but then ditched him for Anders. May be that was his revenge? Though it was really a WTF-moment: Fenris threatened to kill Anders if he breaks my heart, then in a minute he betrayed me to a paranoid templar boss!

Fenris is full of contradictions. I personally love it when you take him to the fade if he's not maxed out either way. He falls to the demon, then says: "Yeah, I gave in to the demon, but it was your fault for taking me in there in the first place!"

Right, yeah. Thanks Fenris.

Haha, yeah, that bit is awesome. It's like he refuses to take responsibility for his own actions. They need to include a slap your companion options, because at a number of points in the game a good hard slap would have resolved a lot of issues.

Need brain bleach ... I can't unsee that...

I've been reading or waiting for updates to
Days Like These AU of young Leto and Anders but rather entertaining, may be the same from Kinkmeme
Asphodel Dreams  from kink... author!anon's style reminds me of other good fics I've read from there, with the asterisk between breaks, but can't recall which ones had that same format. Says in the style of The Last Five Years, but finding stuff on kink is not easy, at least for me... *shrug*
Icarus

and of course *smiles*
The Whole Sky Shaken

You're right. This is cheerful. There are very few Anders pics which are bright, colorful and light, and this is one of the best. Very endearing!

Fenris always rats me out if I have him with me. I haven't had him completely maxed out at that point, but I am usually just a few points away from max rivalry (which is why I bring him). The only time he didn't rat me out is when I decided to just tell the truth. I didn't get any rivalry with Fenris, but it was worth it. Not only did I not want to strangle Fen but I got to hear Anders b**** Meredith out, which was glorious.

It truly was - and such a suprise. I wish I had a save just before it so I could replay it to my hearts content. Posted Image It's not the same when you youtube it and it's someone else's Hawke (unless it's a default Hawke which I can just about deal with).

I know. I had no idea it was coming. My reaction was about like this: :o:O:wub::wub::wub::wub:

Since I was trying to find ways to not have Fen rat me out (such as not even bringing him with me on Emile's part) I had a save just before that in case I needed to reload.  I finally gave up and just told the truth to see what would happen. Then I had to reload and do it a few more times.

I know what you mean about other Hawkes. It's just not the same if it isn't your Hawke but default Hawke seems a good substitute for some reason.

I figure the rest of the companions must be a gossipy bunch because everyone knows everything - but they only get directly affected if they're involved.

Yes, he did that in my current game when my mage Hawke selected "happy to help." Of course, he wasn't really that happy to help, but she was blackmailing him, what with him being an apostate and all. Anyway, the rant was pretty awesome. This is shaping up to be my canon playthrough.

Aw man, I have to replay this now it seems. I've never gotten that rant, just looked at it on youtube, and it seems awesome. But I can't find any clips of Hawkes agreeing with Anders, just telling him this isn't the place. I want to see what happens if you support him.

And Fenris has always ratted me out in the past, even at 100% friendship. I haven't brought him along in sometime for that very reason. Maybe it was a bug that got fixed in 1.02? I'll have to try it again, I suppose.

So, not on topic, but my husband has taken to calling Anders, "Colonel Anders." I think it's his way of trying to make me stop obsessing over Anders by making me imagine him like this:

Posted Image
It's disturbing enough that it just might work. Darn you Colonel Anders and your Ferelden Fried Chicken.

It'll have to wait until tonight, sadly. I still have 100 pages of Synge's The Aran Islands left to read for class tonight and one more chapter of Ulysses. Somehow I doubt the "I had to see my character's boyfriend yell at the horrible woman who blackmailed him" excuse will fly. :(

And there is something disturbingly sexy and horrifying about Colonel Anders. Maybe it's because I'm now picturing him amidst the characters of Justified. (If you haven't seen it, watch it. Now. I'll wait.)

Boss is sat behind me, otherwise I'd crack open youtube like you wouldn't believe! :( Silly boss, and I'm having to do a load of work for an exhibition we're going to next month. So internet is minimised way down the bottom.

I think your school are totally unreasonable - I'd understand if it involved pixel lust. Heck, I'd condone it. Pixel lust takes up way too much of my time, my husband has nothing to fear from RL men.

Actually, now that I think about it, Justified fits very well with the themes of DA2. It's all about a lawman (who should have justice on his side) doing some very morally questionable acts that fall more in the line of vengeance. The show even points out the dichotomy between the two.

Hmm, and all this time I thought I was just watching the eye candy that is Timothy Olyphant in a spiffy hat.
