I'm new here, and I LOVED "Promises, Promises" (thanks to you for writing it and to whoever first mentioned reading it four times and linked it!)

Concerning teary, the same applies to me as dpMeggers, but with one addition: I saw in the a/n at the beginning that you didn't think the story would make much sense to people who hadn't read "You Could Have So Much More," and "A Distant Ray of Light." I have to disagree; I didn't read either of those first, but "Promises, Promises" made perfect sense to me. About the only thing in there that wasn't canon (I think) was the relationship with Nathaniel, and it was easy enough to pick up on that. And I found that, because I had read your warning but had chosen not to heed it, I kept myself sort of mentally hyper-vigilant, looking to be confused, and then wasn't. And for me, that distracted a little from the story itself. Sorry!

Good to know. I'll consider taking that warning out, then. I'm never quite sure what might be confusing or not, and I tend to air on the side of caution. But if it's immersion-breaking, that's no good at all. So perhaps I'll move the little disclaimer to the end or something.

I'll probably start getting the characters after I've played the game enough I suppose. It's what happened for Persona 3.

I have a bad habit of reading my fanfic either very early in the morning or very late at night, the upshot of which is I'm too tired to emote properly. And I don't cry very easily. Combined, this means powerful stuff gets a wibble at most.

And HI-C fanfiction made me wibble. With the Karl stuff - remembering what happened to them and reading this, IS masochistic.

Probably my hugest obstacle in BW game fanfics. I never feel like I do the character's justice. 

I get Zev.  I get Alistair.  Hell, I've even got Garrus and Kaidan.  (According to those who've read those stories, at least.)

Anders eludes me.  Slippery apostate.  (Course, I'm having issues with Fenris, too.)

Fenris is haaaaaaard. I'm always afraid that I might go parody with him, which is also my concern with Zevran (and Leliana).

Anders is easier, but I'm way used to Awakening Anders and it's difficult to get DA2 Anders right because of it. I want to make everything a little zingy when it's not supposed to be.

Anders can be rather catty at times. Another reason I fear writing him. Not sure where I should draw the line on his cattiness. 

And Anders block...oh why you gotta be like that Anders? We could've had a threesome!  

At least the DAO LIs (Edit: Well except Morrigan) were up for some sharing. No one in DA2 but Izzy wants to share.

Omg, honestly, everyone, if you plan to get married I would totally recommend what hubby and I did.
1. Don't tell anyone.
2. Rope 1 friend each to be the witness.
3. Get married at the registry office.
4. Disappear on a cheesey holiday (Blackpool baby!!!)
5. Return and tell family/friends via Facebook (only phone calls if you like them)

BEST decision ever.

reminds me of the time my cousin told everyone she was preggers on april 1. no one believed her, and now they have a boy! moral of the story; don't do anything secret on april 1

The block exists to DA:A Anders, too.  One of the reasons I hang out here.  Trying to jump start him, because I do have an idea, and it won't leave me alone.

It's all Zev's fault.
