@ Hi-C

I'm about halfway done with your commission because I have noooooo life tonight apparently. Double Sparklefinger fluff!

Yay for sparklefinger fluff (it's clearly the best flavor)!

Edit: Typical. Serious discussion going on, and it's my bit of craziness that gets top. *sigh* Story of my life, I tell you. Ah well, time for Andersbutt.

OK, I love sarcastic male Hawke. When Female Hawke gets the "killer eyes and a nice smile" line about Anders, Male Hawke gets "No one's that selfless. He's probably got bodies hidden in his basement."

Does he get different lines than Female Hawke in the argument with Carver when Carver brings up Bethany's death? He said a line I don't remember my female Hawkes saying: "I gave everything! Question me, Mother, yourself, but not that!"

And here I thought I would want to punch him in the face for sounding like Vaughan. ^_^

It's kind of cool finally playing as a guy, because the relationships feel different, especially with Anders (this Hawke's going for Merrill). So it's more of a buddy-buddy thing this time around.

How old is Anders at the beginning of DA2? 25? 26? I think there's one or two dev replies about character ages floating around somewhere, but I don't think we ever got one for Anders.

By his looks I'd put him around 28 at the youngest but Bioware seems to make guys look older than they are. Like default male Hawke for example

Anders has also been through hell and back (like four to twelve times, depending on what you're counting) and has a demon/spirit thing living inside his head that he hates himself for letting in. That kind of stress sorta ages a person. Also, some people just look older (or younger) than they really are for no other reason then that's the way they look.

That said, I'm guessing he's in his mid-twenties.

I generally felt like he was around 26-28, but I dont think there is a canon answer.

I get late twenties vibes from him. The voice, the design, the general life experiences. I could be wrong, of course. Though I also have a thing for guys at least ten years my senior, so this is totally colored by personal preference here.

Ah, but this thread festoons enough Hawkes with ruffles to make it canon through sheer force of will.

Okay I must be reading too much slash fic because horn rimmed Anders sounds dirtier than horny Anders.

It did to me too. Don't worry. Oh and speaking of slashtastic literature fiction.

Hope this works. Just uploaded photos. For some reason, most of them involve Anders. I can't imagine why.

Edit: Yay! I should probably crop these. *sigh*

I have a question for you guys:
I heard this and I'm not entirely sure its real but when in DA2 does Anders say "Some dogs submit easily to the leash. Others remember that they are wolves."

I MUST know! I was wondering if he is referring to Fenris or Mages.

Pretty sure its about mages because Meredith will respond "even wolves will be hunted down when they become a danger."

Sadly for Meredeth Anders is a white Balverine and she has no silver weapon or augment...

I hate Balvarines. Cheap little dodging bastards. <_< Thank you Wolfsword (whatever the name is) +40% damage for the win! With the additional +40% damage at night and...glorious. :innocent:

That said...are all of the hero's swords made of silver now? I can kill Balvarines just fine without silver. :?

Totally off topic I know I'm just wondering if its a retcon.

I love me some maxed out damage pistol against a Balvarine - but I couldn't play through Fable 3 again. Twice was enough, and the ending was weeeeeeeak. Plus you couldn't do headshots like you could in Fable 2 - that was my favourite part!

Anyway... back to Anders. So I'm doing my first m/Mage!Hawke and am picking the all the dick/snark options and thoroughly enjoying it - why did no one say the mages are actually fast and dynamic this time around? (I probably ignored you if you did to be fair - rogue is still my fave, so pissed I couldn't open that damn box in Lothering). DAO had killed the class for me, but yeah, m!Hawke looks like a beefed up cheerleader twirling a baton! Love it.
I don't want to meet Anders yet because I don't want to be a dick to him Posted Image
