Finally! Chapter 6 just went up to FF.net. It might take it a few minutes to show up, but at least it's done.
it's arrived!

Okay, I read this originally as playing cards, not title cards, and now I'm thinking about having a whole deck of DA2 themed playing cards and I want it like burning.

And Anders would get to be the King of Hearts, since I'm wary of the Anders is a Woman! stuff.

Can I just say how much I missed Anders' earring in DA2? Does Justice disapprove of jewelery? Is it an icon from a simpler time? I don't really care. I want Hawke to notice the damn hole (I could make a joke here, but it's too easy; feel free to fill it in with an obligatory "that's what she said," though) and pick up something shiny and purdy for his apostate BF.
In short, I support Give Anders an Earring DLC.

Anders... what happened to you! And white Izzy. *hiss spit gag*

I've said it before, I'll say it again: whitewashing companions is ridiculously offensive. I'm against mods that change their faces to begin with, but skin tone...really?

Well, I haven't played a male Hawke, so he's not been gay (or bi, rather) in any of my playthroughs.
I just can't get on-board anymore because of other comments on other boards I've seen where they say that Anders is feminine because he's clingy, or obsessive, or emotional. Which he's all of those things, but they don't make him a woman (because, heaven knows you can't be a clingy, obsessive or emotional man).
And it wasn't really aimed at you, kromify. I just have my hackles up because of a conversation I've been having IRL about those sorts of things.

Technically speaking, he'd still be bi. It's canon that Karl was his first whether he mentions it to f!Hawke or not (and believe me, I wish he did; I think it's a great conversation and it's a shame LadyHawke doesn't get to hear it).
But I agree with you completely about stereotyping Anders as female because of his personality. It also implies that all women (or at least a decent chunk of them) are also clingy, obsessive, and emotional. And when we're not, we get accused of "wearing the pants" in the relationship, as though somehow being aloof and independent is such a feat for us delicate womenfolk.
Nope, I'm not bringing personal bitterness into this. Not at all.

Oh, I know he's bi. I was just saying he's never been with a male Hawke in my game, so I don't mentally default to Gay Anders (which he never is, anyway).
And, if anything, Hawke is the Queen of Hearts considering all the people s/he can hit then quit.

~Stands right beside Hi-C in the lanes of personal bitterness~
When my husband and I met some members of a different board for the first time IRL, they were surprised to find that he and I have an equal relationship. Somehow, because I speak my mind, it had been assumed I dominated him.
Anyone here think Hawke of either gender dominates Anders? (And no, I don't consider the rivalry path dominating him automatically.)

Yeah, I figured as much. But there's so much Anders-can't-be-bi-in-my-game-that's-icky outside this thread, I think my hackles snap up automatically. Some part of my brain goes, them's fighting words and then I start typing out manifestos on sexuality and...I'll stop now.

Yeah, no. Anders is openly bi in my Lady Hawke fic (although she had to ask him about Karl (stupid game)). Pretty much all of my Wardens/Hawkes/Shepards are bi or lesbians (sorry "lesbian", in Shep's case), and I've always assumed that Anders appreciated the hot (or, in some cases, nice), regardless of gender.
And that's another one of the areas where DA2 bugs me. Anders is bi. My Hawke is bi. Isabela is bi, and Zevran shows up all open to fun. Whyyyyyyy can't we just ride that wave of awesomeness to its inevitable conclusion? Seriously.
SurelyForth wrote...
*Also, Anders has been, at the very least, in an intimate situation with Isabela, who (in my game) has slept with Hawke AND Zevran. Hawke should really be able to cajole Anders in, for nostalgia if nothing else.
