@Hi-C I'd say something, but I'm pretty sure that elf has no dialogue so... *silence*?

I always just figured it was b/c Hawke asked him to? I'd say it makes more sense for Hawke to be wearing it like that, borrowing your lover's clothes and everything, but m!Hawke wouldn't be able to get the sleeve over his wrist, let alone his forearm.

That is quite possibly the greatest gif I have ever seen in my life. *claps*

And this fan video isn't mine, but someone posted it in the Fan Creations forum and I thought it was great. It involves Anders, the Techno Turian, and Teagan doing jazz hands.

This video is just so well done.  I love dancing Teagan and the timing of putting in DA:A Anders.  So sexy.

@dpMeggers: I know what you were thinking during that silence. Hi-C approves +20.

*feels dirty*

And yes, there's no way Trogdor!Hawke is going to fit into Anders' coat. Though Knowing Noah, he'd try, rip up, and end up trying to stick the feathers back in all haphazardly. Ah well, that's why make up sex was invented, right?

And now we know the real reason Anders changes outfits.

But where from? We can't in all good conscience link him here - he'd probably die of fright! Then there would be no more Anders-y goodness!

Also, I have just noticed the time! Night all!

Yay for delurking! And no, you shouldn't have to read through 1600 pages to get the gist of our particular obsession. (OldSpice!Anders sums it up quite well, actually). ThreeParts made a wonderful FAQ if you want to catch up on in-jokes or the general consensus on all things Anders.

Thank you so much!  As another n00b (waves at Hill), I appreciate the FAQ as well!

The plumage at his shoulders then. Okay directly asking this time. I'm working on art... a gift for someone. It has Anders in his dark jacket. You can see a leg... I almost put him with pants but then it's only his knee.

Would it look strange to see him in a jacket at the top half, and then a bare knee peeking out? Is the idea of it, sorta sexy?

I can't imagine anything that Anders could possibly wear that would detract from his sexiness.  He is sex in anything.  In fact, I challenge anyone to find me a non-sexy picture of Anders.  Especially the above feathers, though (I love feathers, as a Rocky Horror girl at heart).

Personally, I think the feathers must have some magical utility, since almost every mage wears them.  I mean, if it was just a fashion thing, then you would think apostates in hiding would NOT wear them so as to avoid detection.  No, they must be very helpful, and therefore worth it.

EDIT: I meant sexY in anything!  Although sex works, too.  :kissing:

Something about hoping Anders will be in DLC and cursing Awakening in the same breath is funny to me.

Don't trouble me with your pesky logic! It's more that none of our companions were in WH or DAA (well, except Oghren).

Hey, if people dislike Anders as much as they disliked/were indifferent to Oghren, does that mean he has a better or worse chance of being included in DLC?

The broody one reminds me of Blackmarsh! I don't care what Anders and Varric say, it's my favorite DA map of all time. I could poke around in burnt villages and hunt for suicide engagement rings to give to my best mage forever

This brings me to an even more off-topic point: The Black Emporium was really awesome, from a design standpoint. I loved how creaky and atmospheric it was. If they could do a few more environments with that level of visual quality, it would go a long way towards breaking up the monotony of Kirkwall.

I hope all DA2 DLC, except for anything that might tie up Hawke's story, takes place in the time skips and includes our crew. That would be fantastic.

Haha, yeah, I knew what you meant but it was still funny to me. I agree, though.  I really hope we keep our DA2 companions instead of getting new one-timers for DLC.

That's weird, I was just thinking about how much I loved the design of the Black Emporium today. I just know my Hawkes are stomping across the little bridge from the door to the main room because that's totally something I would do.

@AerdrieDarkmoon: I'm not usually a fan of jackets and bare skin, but there's something about those feathers... Of course I always end up wondering why he took the jacket off to get his tunic off, then put the coat back on. Was he cold? Doing some kind of weird striptease that somehow involved putting clothes back on?

In the end though, if it's sexy (as is the above pic) I try not to ask many questions and just recite the MST3K mantra.

AquilaChrysaetos86 wrote...

Hellz yeah!
I think it's the juxtaposition of him being vulnerable whilst wearing his 'armour'. Especially in that pic you linked.

Reminds me more of Kal'Hirol, all broken crumbling ruin with massive pillars everywhere. Also that suicide engagement ring was probably the most depressing sidequest I've ever done. I preferred resurrecting an ancient ghost-dragon.

Also reccing this piece of cracky goodness in case peeps haven't seen it yet, but given how so many people here follow the kinkmeme closely I'm sure it's old news by now ;D

Even so, I don't recommend drinking anything while reading.
