The broody one reminds me of Blackmarsh! I don't care what Anders and Varric say, it's my favorite DA map of all time. I could poke around in burnt villages and hunt for suicide engagement rings to give to my best mage forever

Reminds me more of Kal'Hirol, all broken crumbling ruin with massive pillars everywhere. Also that suicide engagement ring was probably the most depressing sidequest I've ever done. I preferred resurrecting an ancient ghost-dragon.

Oh, yeah. It was so depressing. But I found it darkly amsuing to give the ring to Anders.

Anders: You're giving me the suicide engagement ring.
Warden: You're my favorite.
Anders: I preferred it when you were giving me kittens. This doesn't mean we're engaged, does it?
Warden: Maker, no. Wait, do you feel like killing yourself or me?
Anders: Not at this moment, no.
Warden: Then no. Not engaged.
Anders: ...this is ****ed up. You do realize that, don't you?
Warden: I'll admit, my ****ed up barometer broke quite a while ago. This barely registers.
Anders: Sad.
Warden: Eh. You get used to it.

I HAVE HAD SO MANY ToPs THIS WEEK!

Also reccing this piece of cracky goodness in case peeps haven't seen it yet, but given how so many people here follow the kinkmeme closely I'm sure it's old news by now ;D

Even so, I don't recommend drinking anything while reading.

That may be the best thing ever written on the meme

Yeah I always took it for myself.
My Warden was a bit: "Ooh! Best junk! DIBS!" and everyone else would be "but you called dibs last time" and she'd point to herself and be all like "Commander. I'm first into the field, I get best junk."

That quest was bad, but not as bad as the quest for the missing husband where you find he's hanged himself over a bloody misunderstanding.
Awakening is full of downers.

Yes, but not as many as DA2. Actually, the tone of DAA makes sense in light of the general atmosphere of DA2. Consider it a slow spiral downwards into the abyss of angst and loss.

Aren't I just a bucket of sunshine and roses today?

It would be wonderful if donating say a gold at a time, you could change the outcome of Evelina and her kids...keep her from being taken over by a demon so you can save her and the other guy who just wants to experience a woman...

Because End game is pretty meaningless in the long run. none of your choices matter much. HUGE let down.

Even saving Grace backfires.
This isn't a real game IMHO, just a set up for the next game. ( I hope but after this one I'm not sure I will bother with the next game.)

I feel very let down by the dumbeing of the game, the limited group interaction...well the over all experience.

In the end nothing you have done means squat. It might in the next game put who care??.

While playing this one I don't care about the next game. I want this one to be rewarding in some way.

I wont say its has no interesting parts, and yes, some segments are pretty.
But pretty art does not make up for poor story telling.

But the problems are glaring.
The limitations feel very artificial.

I don't mind mods. I use them.
But to have to rely on those to make it a better experience is sad.

Shame on you Bioware. I know you are working frantically on the Kotor MMO.
But that is not an excuse.

This Dragon age is a real let down.
Nor is it really adult.
Nothing happens that kids don't watch on prime time TV. Sad very sad.

This LP I'm watching is hilarious. The player romanced Fenris, and is laughing about Anders sitting in the background going, "Please love me. Why don't you love me?" as she's running around.

Poor guy. I never felt bad about not romancing any of the Origins LIs, because none of them had that unrequited love thing going on.

Although the evil teammate Bishop (and I guess Casavir, if your PC was evil) did in Neverwinter Nights 2. Which led to confusion as he's going on about how he didn't intend to have feelings about my paladin PC, as she's going, "Um, the last time you hit on me I said I'd rather stab myself in the throat then run off with you."

I think this is the first Bioware game (or at least the first I've played) where one of the love interests is mooning after the PC no matter what.

Edit: Agree on Awakening being the beginning of a downward spiral into PAIN and ANGST and UNREQUITED LOVE.

Oh Batteries, don't you know not to feed the trolls? There's nothing you can give them they'll actually like, but if you wait long enough I hear sunlight turns them to stone. ;)

But they can be so serious business I can't help myself

But unless they're posting this on every thread across the forums I wouldn't call them a troll
Just kinda a little random.

But doesn't using a Firefly reference mean you automatically win?

I'm just irritated after trying to convince someone on the general forum that yes, blood magic comes from demons, and no Anders would not be the sort to consort with demons, not with Justice. So I'm a little testy and a little short-tempered. *sighs*

To hell with it, I'm blaming James Joyce. He's as good a villain as any in this. *glares at Ulysses*

By having Shepard defeat a hyper 50K+old hyperadvanced machine race? That'll just make the BDH aspect even more glorious.

No offense to Hawke but he's nowhere near Shepard's level. No where near. B)

I do want a doom and gloom bad ending in ME3. But I also want awesomesause ending. ^_^

I personally prefer the Shepard type hero. Larger than life and glorious. Life changing, inviorgrating and just plain enjoyable (to me) to watch and play.

I don't want Hawke to be Shepard. Very glad he (or she) isn't. Hooray for different kinds of stories told through the same medium~

Thanks - I've just choked on cereal reading that Kinkme crackfill. :o Aveline was perrrrrrrrrrrrfect, and and... "A KINDNESS TO YOUR CROTCH" - AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHhahahahaaaaaaaaa *dies*

The photos... are we down near the primeaval thaig? Or at least connected to it? Two of them look underground to me anyway, and the above ground one is gloriously Kirkwally *crosses fingers that we keep current companions and don't switch to Grey Wardens*. Eugh... what if the DLC has the GW's we saw in the main game as the main characters? It's going to be GW's isn't it.
*Mustn't make assumptions* :pinched:
