Like I said, I'm pretty much trying to stay out of it now. I've said my piece, put my beliefs out there and my own personal experiences. My view of sexuality and gender can pretty much be summed up by Virginia Woolfe's "A Room of One's Own," which is totally worth reading regardless of this discussion. So...yeah.

And to make everyone feel better, here's Yami's lovely rendition of Noah and Anders.

That is very cute.

And I'm sorry if I seemed too be trying to poke you into arguing more. I'm new here and I don't want to be too contentious, I just find these discussions interesteing. I've read A Room Of One's Own, and second the recommendation... (It's also a good example as to why having protagonists of every gender and orientation available is also really important, culturally speaking.)

Let me take a moment to squee.

3... 2... 1... SQUEEEEE!

EDIT: Uh-oh... out of context squeeing. :?
In other news, now I just need to find something to throw at Brandon Keener and my life will be complete. My annoying awesome voice actor's life, that is.

It's cool. I just try to bow out before I say something I regret. And it's totally not you. At present I'm cramming for an Irish Lit midterm, still trying to finish three more chapters of Ulysses, and write a paper on Synge. I'm running on about 5 hours sleep and I'm a little frayed. I just don't want to snap at somebody who doesn't deserve it (and you definitely don't, hence me sending myself to my time-out corner).

It's definitely an interesting debate. I'd write an essay on it here if I didn't have an essay actually due for school tomorrow. And if I wasn't absolutely buzzing with caffeine and shot nerves. Probably it's not the best time to meet me right now. I swear I'm normally cuddly and harmless. I came up with an Anders rendition for Pirates of Penzance for cripes' sake. You're just not getting me at my best. :/

On a sad note, I noticed that Adam Howden recently tweeted: "I hope everyone is telling @dragonage how much they want Anders to be in DA3. #mansgottaeat ;D" This implies that BioWare hasnt approached him yet about DA3... which implies that at this stage yet they arent planning on including Anders in DA3 AT ALL. :'(((((((((((((

Could just be that they havn't approached any VA's about it. They just announced it so they may still be in the "doodles and scribbles" stage (storyboards and plot).

Or that work hasn't started on DA3 yet, at least not of the kind where they'd need to bring VAs in. DA2 just came out. Patience, everyone. Patience.

There isn't anyone I wouldn't kill to be hired to storyboard DA3 D: Or just to make everyone coffee and squee all over the place. Annoyingly all the good stuff get done in Canada and the States, the Irish studio handles boring programming and advertising and crap, no creative work at all.

I love how more and more people decide to brave twitter for Howden haha

True.  However, I am still bitter that with how DA2 ended they did not already have DA3 ready to release.

Okay, so this is completely random (and in reality only a tiny thing, but I love finding differences between the maleHawke and femHawke conversations in this game!): but I am at the part in the rivalmance with Anders with my M!Hawke where he reads his manifesto (swoon!) and just noticed what I *think* is a difference between the M!Hawke and F!Hawke conversation. Anders says with femHawke that the "most common way for a Circle mage to die is with his own hand." But with M!Hawke he says, "the most common way for a Circle mage to die is by suicide." Did anyone else notice this? Or am I hearing things? Apparently that was too forward for my femHawke. : )

Yeah, the idea of getting paid to think about Dragon Age? That's pretty much the dream.

Also, I can't see DA3 coming out within the next year or two, and I know that Brandon Keener and Seth Green didn't start doing work on ME3 until this past month and it's due out within the year.

Why doesnt BioWare have a Seattle office? :(((((((

*edit* I mean, we have Nintendo, Microsoft, Amazon, Wizards of the Coast, and Google offices!  We used to have EA as well, but they moved a while back.  Bah!  BW needs to give up frozen Edmonton and move to beautiful Seattle!!!

I hope so to be honest.
If DA3 has to be the final chapter, I hope they take all the time they need.
DA2 was rushed, there is no denying it, there were a lot of things and bugs that could have been avoided.
So I am really more than willing to wait to have an epic conclusion.

Meanwhile, maybe...some story-related DLC? More Anders? :P

Don't see why DA3 would be the final chapter unless it absolutely tanks critically and financially. Dragon Age isn't an intended trilogy or anything. I figure BioWare intends to play around in Thedas for quite a while.

In the context of North America, Seattle isn't that far from Edmonton.

Also. OI! You leave Edmonton alone. It's not frozen all the time. You learn to like it anyway...

Uhhgg, Texas.  No way I would move to Texas just to stalk BioWare.  Edmonton is tempting, but probably too cold for my tastes.  Plus I don't think the hubby would approve.

True.  I feel very conflicted between NEED DA3 NOW and then wanting them to take all the time they need to make it excellently awesome.   I wish in many ways I had not listened to my friends and bought DA:O when I did.  I wish I hadnt foudn out about its awesomeness until after DA3 came out....   :?

Hey, it's in Austin.  The WIERD part of Texas. ;)
