ETA: One thing to consider is that prompts can ruin the flow of discussion, especially for those who don't read or participate. Since I have a feeling the thread will pick up once the next patch comes out and once we get some DLC, we might want to take that into consideration. I would suggest a group, but formatting is balls enough on the forum. Does anyone else have any thoughts or suggestions?
Well, if we don't want a group on the BSN, there's always livejournal. Or...okay, I'm out of ideas and I live under a rock. Somebody who's not an ignorant buffoon in matters of where the cool kids go to join groups might want to jump in here. *shakes her stick and tells those whippersnappers to get off of her lawn*
I make no claims on being a 'cool kid', but there's always DeviantArt (plus there's already an Anders-centric group there), and Facebook, if people don't mind using real names/making a new account. LiveJournal is probably the best mix of usability + forum like discussion. Plus, the prompt tables I've found (if people would like to use them), come from there. I didn't realise but there are actually
5 different ones! I would also say tumblr, but that place just confuses the hell out of me!
There's a few different ways I've seen prompts done, word constraints, time constraints etc. Some are more free and loose though. The one I've seen most often is the 'weekly prompt', where a random prompt, or prompts, are chosen say on a monday, and people have until the end of the week to create a fill and post it to the group. Not sure if making it competitive would be a good idea though, just purely as it might put newbies off, and then it might stagnate. Just my two penneth though. /Teacher mode.
In other news: that Anders fellow, he's a pretty awesome guy isn't he?
Edit: Apparently the internet hates me today, bear with me, fixing! Done!
