All I know is I can't marderknife him. Ever. That will never ever happen on any play through. And I can't take Oranna in as a proper slave again. Damn Fenris made me compromise my morals just to get rivalry points and I felt like an awful human being for about.... 10 minutes.

I can't kill him too. Somehow I understand why he did it, which doesn't mean I completely approve it of course. But I understand him. You could say that my Hawkes are selfish too, and they can't kill him because he is like the only family they have left, if romanced. I can't make him the favor to kill him.
I refused to have Oranna working in my house too the first time, her presence, somehow, disturbed me. Not because she was a slave, I insisted on paying her, but I don't know...I felt disturbed.

But in my last playthroughs I decided to make her work for me just for the lute. Yeah, I want to hear Anders' playing the lute. I already miss the "socks line" because of the dog, I wanted the lute at least xD

ToP: I'd say Sasy Gay Hawke deserves it.

I like to give her a job, actually - the girl has only ever been a slave and I have my doubts about how she would fare if I just gave her gold and cut her loose. She's a bit freaky looking, I'll give you that, but I can't blame her for that.

*shudders* that face.

Thankfully there's a mod for that.

I can't send her on her own either. And knowing what happens to the Chantry I can't send her there either. <_<

Usually I employ her too - I don't see how she'd function out in the world, she needs a bit of a stepping stone. But she acts as another pov on the whole mage freedom thing. I wish you could have that chat with Anders so much, that you'd sit and talk about what he planned to do, and how just letting the mages out into the world with no idea of how to interact or operate would be massively cruel - can you imagine hundreds of Emile's out in the world? They'd get slaughtered.

I like to think that he's come to this conclusion himself, but has made an informed decision that it is the lesser of two evils. But still... Anders, sweetheart, so many of those mages aren't equipped for the real world.

Bwhahahahaaaaa

Now I just see Anders padding around the bedroom naked all the time, as soon as the door shuts, off with the clothes! Naked manifesto writing, naked...er... sleeping?

All the buckles and straps on that coat and those boots...damn right I'd keep him naked because once he's dressed, you've got about fifteen minutes of fumbling before you can get his clothes off.

Anders seems like a free spirit to me, I bet he loves being naked.

And there's something very arousing about naked men playing stringed instruments  I like the idea of naked manifesto writing, naked cooking, naked lounging in front of the fire reading, naked dancing with Hawke to some random carnival music coming from outside... have I thought about this way too much? Perhaps.

And the failing at lute thing used to make me sad, I felt like Hawke was just making fun of Anders - Oh is that his manifesto burning? Oops. Yeah he sucks at lute to. :(  But now I don't think she meant it like that.

Nekkid Lute (definitely NSFW or shy or easily embarassed types)

And yeah, he would totally romp around everywhere naked, all those years in robes, it must be hell trying to get him into pants!

I have a video on my phone of my 2 year old nephew spontaneously stripping and running around the house nekkid(how he took the diaper off was hilarious), all the while my mother is chasing after him with pants, but instead he wanted a bath. I will see Anders like this from now on.

It could have just been on a primitive timer or a LONG fuse.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petard
A common bomb used to blast holes in a wall or a gate in the medieval era.

It used a long fuse so that the people could split and run for their life, what with them being trained individuals. At the very least they had to have enough time to run to a safe distance so that they would not be hurt.

Anders could have just given it a slow burning fuse and been lucky when he came upon Hawke and Co.

Ah here is what I was looking for:

http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Slow_match

This was the fuse used on rifles a very long time ago.
They burned at a rate of 1ft or 305mm in one hour.

The slow burn let a soldier fire a loaded rifle whenever he wanted to.
Give it a two foot cord and you have two hours or so.

Highcastles is m!HawkexAnders - but it's awesome.

Err... a couple of others not already mentioned:

dpMegger's Musings - collection of one-shots.
Mandamcmoo's A Rainy Night - one shot.
Mutant0's Forgiveness - one shot, you'll probably want a box of tissues for this one.

I wake up way too early with a headache, take something, figure I'll read a bit wait for meds to kick in, maybe try to go back to sleep later.  Oh look fic links, even better one shots, ooh I haven't read that one.
"Forgiveness"
... darn you woman
:crying::crying::crying:

I know this is really late and off topic, but I had an unusually large influx of readers on Forgiveness yesterday and then I was told that they came from here so naturally I had to stalk the pages to find out how many more people I got to cry.

And then I had to comment so I could thank everyone a million for reading my silly fic. I used to lurk this thread like nobodies business so it makes me super happy that people from the magical Anders thread read it. *hugs the thread*

That is all.

*goes back to lurking*

anders is a mage; it makes sense to me that he would use the talents so easily at his disposal. i support the staff banging theory

Care to estimate how far Lowtown is from the Chantry though?
From what we have seen mages really can only affect things that they can see directly.

The simplest solution is usually the best solution.

@Giggles_Manically; giggles not seen you in ages *hugs*
But think about it Justice is a spirit and spirits can reach and see fufture than any mage and he kinda tops up Anders power so to speak

@Dalira: Hello!

One thing I dont like about this is how its mechanics are not overly covered.
What other parts went to this.
What did the bomb actually look like.
Who else was involved.
How did it get set off.
etc.

Its the most important element to the game yet it is not really looked at in any detail.

Considering Anders can't predict the future, I don't think any kind of timed detonation would fit in. He blew the bomb at a very specific moment, and the game is structured as such that the bomb could have been placed at pretty much any variable time prior to The Last Straw. I'm sure if mundane Earth technology can figure out remote detonation, a mage could.

Where exactly in the story would an in-depth forensic analysis of the bomb have fit in? The sela petrae and drakestone are hint enough, the rest can be easily extrapolated.
