So I'm a ****** poor artist but I decided to give this a go. Ever since we found out Anders has no butt (at least in game) I wondered if maybe Justice erm... filled in as it were. And this monstrosity was born:

<snipped awesome>

Due to my lack of scaling and perspective Justice has a bubble booty haha

Magically delicious but touching it would be unjust, so unfair!

*hugs Ashy*:wub:

::group hug::

It is lovely ashy, really is!

yay hugs! ::huggles everyone:: and now I think I'm *really* off to bed <3

edit for TOP... SPARKLEBUTT!

The upthread discussion of sanity made me think of one of my favorite quotes ever:

"And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking... but when you're good and crazy, the sky is the limit."

Somehow I can hear Awakening Anders saying that, while DA2 Anders... he lives it.

Snarky Hawke so says this to Varric when he's arguing against the Anders relationship.

...By god I hated that scene.

Something that should've been serious ruined by my hysterical laughter/facepalming.

Harking back to the debate you were having at 1.30am GMT *shakes fist* (That and the fact my brain is swollen with circle/chantry codicies after researching the manifesto).

Whilst Anders was ostensibly acting alone with the whole Jenga thing, his point of view and beliefs that the circle be free of Chantry involvement was definitely not crazy or without its supporters. His stance as a Libertarian aligns him firmly with the largest opposition fraternity to the the Aequitarian & Loyalist coalition. That those two fraternities had to even form a coalition suggests that the Libertarian's have enough support to make the College of Magi/ Chantry nervous. Which again was echo'd by Lelianna's comments about the Resolutionists (an zealot off-shoot of the LIbertarians) and their being 'tolerated'. However, as we see through the game Anders eventually aligns himself with more strongly with the Resolutionist agenda;
"They have declared that unless mages are freed to rule themselves, they will show every person in Thedas how little protection the Circle of Magi actually offers."
Remember that Anders was at the Ferelden Circle at the same time as Uldred - who was an outspoken supporter of the Libertarian view, and if he didn't witness the carnage at the circle he certainly heard about the lengths that the mages would go to to free themselves from the Chantry.
I think that rather than have every mage turn to blood magic out of desperation, he (with the guidance of Justice) understands the need to force the issue and make the College of Magi realise its power is conditional on the
whims of the Chantry, and that it needs to wrest control for itself.
That Anders actions finally cause the Aequtarian fraternity to switch alligance is a fantastically planned and orchestrated move, by a desperate man.

/end rant.

Yeah, so I love him even more after researching all that stuff. Anders bleeds awesome.  Posted Image

All this talk of revolution reminded me of this song, which I think pretty much perfectly tells Anders' story, verse one is the apathy of Awakenings and the meeting of Justice, verse two is manifestos and silent protests, and verse three is MageFreedom!Hawke.

I fall asleep with the TV on
Wake with an ache, it's another week gone
Consider how my life is spent
And where it was that the real thing went
I asked a wise man for advice
He told me once and he told me twice,
Your life is one long damage limitation
He smacked me hard around the head
He handed me a card that read:

Work like you were living in the early days of a better nation

Play that tune again! I cried
It's dead and gone, the band replied
But as they slowly tried it through
The hands remembered what they had to do
They gave poke, they gave it licks
The name of the tune is Laying The Bricks
Let music be the people's sure foundation
I stood outside the Albert Hall
And wept, and wrote upon the wall;

Work like you were living in the early days of a better nation

We take the water to the tree
She says, Now do the same for me
It takes your sweat as well as art
To dig a channel for the human heart
There is no garden of delight
Unless you weed it day or night
Don't leave your life a lifelong long vacation
I hear her whisper when we meet
And as we crawl between the sheets, she says;

Work like you were living in the early days of a better nation
Living in the early days of a better nation.

The cuteness *_*
I always wonder what my cats dream where they enter that deep sleep phase...I assume something to eat, or some playtime? Really, I do wonder what a cat can dream.

I know I'm breaking the cuteness, but the mother has exactly the same reaction any cat has when disturbed...paws covering face and ears xD My cats often do it when we make some loud noise or we go to "disturb" them while sleeping. But well, the kitty is happy and doesn't complain *_*

Wow you did so much research on this - how epic! ^_^

What makes me tingle with love for Anders is also how scholarly and educated he is, I assume he has taught himself arcanum and is constantly occupied with his research and studies. I like to think the bomb he made was either an actual tevinter thing that he researched and built himself or he actually figured out the qunari formula or developed Sandal's boom. Either way it proves how smart he is - so he's got the eyes and the smile AND the brain. Ouch hot!

Anyways, you'd make him proud with all the work you've done, Elle! <3

What can I say, my love for him is both epic and scholarly! Posted Image

We always knew that targetting the Chantry was a deliberate choice designed to provoke Meredith into action, but reading all the codicies just made it clearer how this would then impact the rest of Thedas. He wasn't seeking to force individual mages to fight individual battles, he was looking to get the College of Magi - specifically the Aequitarian fraternity - to change alligances, well aware this would result in warfare.
As a case of tipping one, much more powerful, point of view (rather than the views of many individuals) his actions suddenly seem a lot clearer and a lot more likely to succeed.
He wasn't crazy in the slightest, he just had something world changingly important to do. Posted Image

And yes... I hope he'd be proud - I'm that much of a fangirl. Posted Image

I had an Anders dream! It involved hand-holding and Scrabble! He has a terrible tendency to want to play proper nouns and deployed The Pout often in his defense.

I still won.

Also, there was a desire demon in the quad behind my office, and we beat it to death with a bronze bust of Alfred Kinsey. IDEK. He could have just used lightning and stuff.

That is amazing! Anders will forever cheat at Scrabble in my head now. Posted Image

Come to think of it, I had an Anders dream, too. For some reason it involved me trying to get his help in carrying six air conditioner filters from my campus all the way to my apartment, and all I had for transportation was a bicycle. And he offered to give me a ride in his car, instead. o.O Of course, he had a bicycle rack on his car, so I wouldn't have to leave that behind. The weirdest thing is, I can't even ride a bicycle.

.... completely off topic, but does anyone else want to punch Miranda in the face simply for that ridiculous ass? Srsly. Its not attractive at all. Plus, her jaw's to square. Haet. Rawr.

On topic.. I've yet to have an Anders dream. In fact I haven't had a DA2 dream yet. I feel ... empty. :(

You'd think if Anders would be playing any game, he'd be playing Jenga. Of course, he'd cheat with that too. I bet he'd place the tiniest poop bomb inside of it and blow that sucker to hell and back to win the game.

I so want to draw Anders playing Jenga with Hawke now. So busy though.

I blame Justice! What does a Fade spirit know about stuff like that?

And the desire demon was sort of...clear. Like I could see the shape, but it was transparent. So no weird nipple clamps or anything.

This is true. Poor Hawke.

Hawke: Seriously? A bomb? So you'd win at Jenga?
Anders: I removed the chance of you winning, because you win too much at Scrabble already.
Hawke: You're so lucky you're cute.
Hawke: Now it smells in here. What was in that bomb?
Anders: >.>
Anders: On a completely unrelated topic, I need to go down to the sewers. Care to join me?

The only Anders dream I had was right after my first playthrough and it combined DA2 with LOTRO. Dreamed my 2H warrior and Anders ran off to Gollums's cave to hide and while they were there they had to kill a bunch of undead goblins. It wad kinda scary

Anders seems to mesh well with Lord of the Rings, since the only Anders dream I had was LOTR themed as well.

Oh! This requires a return of Andalf.
