Before I scamper off to get ready for work (day 5 of 11!!) I thought I'd share this:
-snip hotness-

by Purple-Meow

I can't decide between Anders and Bunnyvarric. And Zevran. Orgy?

I dunnooooo.... Alistiar and Zev are AWFULLY cute. I think they should have done Nate instead of Orsino though.

Why instead of? I think they should have had all these boys and Nate. I also agree to the orgy theory.

There can be no orgy without the Arishok.
The Qun demands it.

Please tell me that is not Orisino second from the right.
Because if it is I may just die laughing.

Imagine him wearing that to work one day.

Orisino: Good morning Knight commander
Meredith:.... What in the void are you WEARING!
Orisino: Oh its casual Friday. Didn't you hear?
Meredith: I most certainly did not!

Cullen walks by wearing a Hawaiian T-shirt, shorts, sandals, and HUGE sun glasses.
Cullen: I freaking love casual Friday. B)

I wouldn't beable to take Cullen seriously again.

That would mean taking him seriously now. :P

That is to much man candy there. Orsino freakin cracks me up. Though Fenris and the pink fuzzy handcuffs... hmmm. Alistair looks all GQ...love it!

Oh, thank you, again, Anders thread, for the lighthearted Anders pics. I woke up this morning thinking about what I imagine the future of my Mariel Hawke and Anders would be, and feeling kind of down about that. So it's good to be reminded of happy Anders.

I try to give him credit, it isn't his fault game play doesn't add up to story.  Hence why chapter 17 in my fic kicked my ass to the Fade and back.:pinched:

Lol. I just assume the gameplay is part of Varric's exagerations. Having mage!Hawke sling fireballs and rain lightning is far more exciting than saying, "And then he whacked the demon with his stick a few more times. Nearly got his ass handed to him since he's not used to fighting with his fists, but what can you do? There was a templar right there."

I was laughing so hard I couldn't hit the qoute button >_<

Though that makes sense, still didn't make my job easier.  If the story wasn't so serious I would have pulled a Gamers move
"Ser Cullen look over there a blood mage!" *Rolls dice*

"WHAT?! I will deal with this evil fiend" *Cullen runs off to imaginary blood mage*

Hawke clearly was secretly a D&D Bard...

You got that right! Hawke mastered that the day he/she was born.

That's why I like the frame narrative. Any discrepancies and you have an easy out by saying Varric was fibbing or misinformed. I've gone on record before saying I don't mind retcons done for the sake of the story (like Anders being alive; despite what may have been done to him by the player in Awakening, he really is the perfect fit for this arc). This gives devs a little bit of wiggle room with the "canon." And if it lets them build stronger narratives by commiting to a few details, then I'm all for it.

Is rival Anders Gallows speech different from friend Anders if not romanced and siding with mages?

I just realized that not once did Anders say "Andraste's Knickerweasels!":crying:

Also why didn't this happen in game?  I also post it so we can see him saying it ;)

And it's pretty much the comedy high point of Act 3. That and Charade's letter to Hawke where she asks if it's true that Hawke is sleeping with the Captain of the guard.

Which is sad I know the game is suposed to be 'dark' but for all this is good, there could have been a little more moments that were lighter.

Well, I'm finally in the process of completing my jerk-face pro-templar Hawke run with rivalmanced Anders. I am finding it incredibly depressing. Enough to make me want to play through to the end of the game just so I can start up a fresh and shiny pro-mage game. I feel so dirty.

Best Served Cold makes more sense on a pro-templar run, that's for sure, but I'm finding that the endgame just feels... wrong.

I've been playing through on hard, but I think I'm going to ratchet it back to easy just to get it over with. I just want it to end. I can't take it anymore.

Yes, no matter which side I'm on, I'm killing innocents. Innocent templars, innocent Circle mages. But the templars are there because being a templar is what they want to do. Mages are there because they were born that way.

End of rant.

Ugh, I hate Best Served Cold. I just wish you could get those templar/mage huddles to talk to you. I mean, you'd think they might say "Oooh look, there's Hawke, the guy who kicked the Arishok's arse - let's see what he wants" rather than just throw themselves on his sword/daggers/stave. In that quest you're effectively taking out all the sympathetic templars and moderate mages (with the exception of Grace) which just makes no sense at all for a pro-mage Hawke. Grrr.

So the rivalmance is pretty depressing, huh?

@Berelinde: Be brave! You can do it! I have faith in you! *cheated to her her achievement for that side by using debug*

@CalJones: Yeah it is depressing, if you like Anders like most of us, it can be gruling, granted some love rivalmance as they feel it is for the best, but that turns into a fight quick so I will quickly add to each their own. So you might like it, you might now.

Does anyone have a link to an faq for rival/friend points for Anders?

I plan on rivaling him this run and I know how to get lots of points but any help I would not mind.
Sucks that I want to rival him, but not really be anti-mage here, just anti demon.

I can EASILY max out Fenris, Merrill, Isabela, and Varric.
Just not Anders or Aveline or Sebastian til act 3.
