This is why we need a toolset. Because even though he has a dog, Noah should be able to find Anders' socks all over the place.
Actually, if I get in the mood for another fluffy piece a la "Hands On," I might do one with Noah finding Anders' socks in increasingly improbable places.

It got a bit rocky around the end of Act 2, when hubby got a little grumpy because he was sure that part would be awesome in an Isabela romance, but Act 3 made up for it. He was playing a Chantry-hating, anti-templar mage, and when the Chantry went KABOOM, well, you should have seen his face. He then became baffled at the game for seeming to suggest that he ought to be angry at Anders and kept looking for the dialogue option that said, "Dude, that was GREAT!" I have tried with little success to introduce my boyfriend to DA. He started Origins, said it was a nice game...but as far as I remember I didn't even complete Ostagar >.< I should insist more probably, I am so curious, knowing him and his beliefs, to know how he would react.

That was pretty much the same for me!
Also, every time my husband got that paw prints line, he'd say, "I told Anders to stay off the bed!"
Whereas...I prefer Anders to stay ON the bed...at all times.

If Hawke is 5'10" tall, it goes like this:
Anders 6'2" (4.75" on my monitor)
Aveline 6'2"
Carver 6'2"
Fenris 5'10" (4.5" on my monitor)
Isabela 5'10"
M!Hawke 5'10"
Merrill 5'10" (whoa, she's one tall elf!)
Varric 5'
Varric was tricky. I had to do a "hold party" and tell Hawke to go stand side by side with Varric. When Hawke measured 2.625" high, Varric was 2.25" high.
Oh, and if anybody is ever curious, the kegs you see in buildings were assembled in place. With Hawke standing directly in front of them (needed for scale), the keg is 2.5" wide and the door frame is 2.25" wide. Not going to happen.
So go ahead and make Anders tall in your fanfics! Just remember to make Aveline tall, too.

Yup, that's why I equiped Malcolm's Honor on both M!Hawke (a mage) and Anders before measuring them. About the only estimate that I would say is definitely off is Merrill. She really doesn't look that tall in game, and I seem to remember a height difference between Huon and Nyssa. The rest sound about right, and it would make sense, based on the kissing animations required.SurelyForth wrote...
