I've never done the Merrill romance, or played a male Hawke either, but still considering how much elven heritage means to Merrill I hope there is a conversation/observation by one of them that any kids they had would be delicate looking humans and not elves.

I wouldn't want any of my protagonists to have little kids in game but I don't object to their existence post game. Like in my head canon where ever my mage Hawke and Fenris ended up they do have a pint sized menace running them ragged.

There's that kid that shows up when you do that quest for Athenril that's always stuck out to me due to how similar his situation is to Hawke's, his little speech was enough to pull at my heartstrings that I always end up betraying Athenril.

It's okay Elle, I've actually had a detailed conversation about how Anders and m!Hawke would smell/taste... even what their body temperatures would be like (Hawke would be that kinda guy who's ALWAYS hot when you touch him while Anders has a tendency to be really cold, which is why he's all bundled up and he gets really icy feet)...yup. Pretty much obsessed.

Ehhhh

Hawke, even diplomatic hawke, just doesn't seem the TYPE to have kids. Not necessarily that he/she'd be a bad parent or anything.. but..

Male hawke would have to have babies with a pirate **** or a child-like elf. Neither of them would WANT babies with Hawke, For different reasons. Bela because kids would ruin her ability to be free of (most) responsiblity. Merrill because at the end of the day, it'd be a human baby, and even her love for Hawke wouldn't make that okay with her.

Female Hawke would have to have the ABILITY to have babies.. and lets face it folks, do you know what happens to your inside bits when you're being beaten up as often as our lady-hawke is? Plus, Anders is GW AND Abomination. Which puts a huge damper on the already SUPER SMALL chance of pregnancy. As for Fenris.. well, Lyrium BURNED INTO YOUR FLESH PERMINANTLY might put a hamper on fertility rates ;p

SEE? Lots of excuses why not ;p

Oh yeah - oh and the orphans in Act 3, and the kid that Gamlen is houding in All that Remains. There are actually a LOT of kids in DA2 now I'm thinking about it properly - thanks for the nudge!

Ooooh, body temps. Yeah, I can see that working, I'd force Anders cups of tea to warm his hands up. Perhaps Hawke's Hero aura is actually just the ability to radiate heat? Edit - I can't stop thinking of Hawke having the 'solar gauntlets' from Yakitate!! Japan now. Posted Image

Fangirl obsessions are the bestest. They lead you to weird twisty places, like I totally see Anders with piano player hands - long elegant fingers.

Ooh, discussions of Hawkespawn again. Now my mind will wander back to zany sitcom land, with Anders and Justice both acting as daddy dearest. Or super dramatic soap opera land in which Hawke and Anders have the most tragic, incestuous triplets.

This made me LOL for some reason? I'm imagining them as these little magey shut ins that Hawke and Anders hide so they can't be kidnapped or killed by their enemies. Hilariously creepy!

I am aboard the idea train that involves Hawke/Anders picking up stray magelings, preferably outside of Kirkwall. It seems like the right thing to do, considering it's Anders fault they're in danger. Also, future army of mages raised to appreciate their power instead of fear it. Might come in handy!

I think one Hawkespawn got kidnapped and grew up to be an agent of the Divine and another grew up to lead the revolution. Can't remember what happened with the third one. All I know is that they all ended up falling in love and hooking up. It was so very wrong. Although creepy shut ins seems like another likely scenario for any Anders/Hawkespawn.

No. Still no. Unless we can use them for target practice <_<

I don't imagine it as a settled down and happy thing but rather a depressing but realistic outcome of what Anders has done that he might want to take some responsibility for.
And besides, you could always use the really obnoxious ones to bait templars. Posted Image

Haha, I was thinking more along the lines of fast-forward 10-15 yrs with a codex mentioning how they'd acquired an awesome sauce mage army - with quite possibly what amounts to a personal guard for Anders/Hawke made from what were magelings, turned loyal defenders. Posted Image

I don't mind the idea of Hawkespawn. But what's right for your Hawke isn't necessarily right for mine.

Anders, however, seems to like the idea.

Delurking to distract from the Hawkespawn discussion to post a screeny of something I just noticed. I can't believe I've never, ever paid attention to this before, despite all the speculation if Andraste was a mage or not. Someone REALLY needs to take Anders to the ancient temple in Haven to see this. He's gonna have a field day.

He probably likes the idea in an abstract way, under the impression that he'll never be able to have kids anyway.

Wasn't the third an evil overlord or something who kidnapped the second one? And fell in love?

...I think that's how it went.

The whole reason for the different Chantries in Tevinter/ Thedas is down to whether or not Andraste was a mage. Tevinter said she was, Orlais said she wasn't. Cue much religious infighting and splitting of churches chantries!

Saying out loud, in Thedas, that you think Andraste was a mage is tantamount to I don't know, saying the pope kicks puppies or something. Posted Image

Can't remember if they have male priests in Tevinter though... anyone?

That statue of Andraste with flames coming out of her palm, located in the chapel built by her first followers, is probably a heresy of the greatest kind according the Orlesian high cleric. >.> Worthy of at least a couple of Exalted Marches.

If anyone is interested, I finally finished and published the first chapter of my Anders & F!Hawke fanfiction here. I'm extremely nervous sharing this as I haven't written in this capacity in years, but I hope everyone enjoys it. I have some pretty lofty plans for this story, so this is only the tip of the iceburg. If anyone has suggestions, comments, or feedback, I'd love to hear it. :)

Hehe - and they were guarding the Ashes... I wonder what the Chantry did when they sent people up to investigate? Smash the statue? Posted Image

The Chantry's official stance was that the Ashes were a myth.  It's not until the Warden wipes out the Cult of the Dragon that anyone can even go there.  Frankly, I'm surprised Borther Genitvi is ever believed.

But even Wynne liked the idea of Andraste being a mage, if you remember.

Taking Anders to the Ashes would explode his head with vindication.  :D

Lol, what line? I'm doing my Aggressive!Hawke playthrough. She's...not all about the mages' liberation movement (doesn't give a **** about other mages, as long as her sister is safe) and she thinks the abomination thing is creepy. xD;

So, uh. I'm probably not getting a good line.

But thanks guys :)

yep, they are all just weak minded when it comes to Jedi Mage mind tricks.

Anders: "These aren't the Apostates you're looking for."

Templar: "Move along... move along."

Just seconding the "I will love you forever" sentiments for having equated Anders (my most recent obsession) with Obi-Wan Kenobi (my first obsession).  <3

Oh. I can't remember what she said to him but I think she was mostly "Uh huh, give me the maps now." She is, at the moment, pretty put off by the whole abomination thing, lol. And wasn't very tactful to begin with xD Anders actually apologized for her to Merrill at Sundermount, lol!

EDIT: Oh, no, that was the "spirits don't inhabit people's bodies, demons do (stupid)" conversation. The stupid was just implied. :B lol
