There, there! You don't have to choose! There's plenty to go around, as they say. Apostate-ex-templar-sandwiches for everyone!

I love that it was my mage warden that fell inlove with the ex-templar. it just seemed so right 

And now everytime in DA2 i find myself hating all templars i have to remind myself that Alistair used to be one of them and that they aren't all evil puppets of the chantry <_<

I'm guessing yes. That's how they look in my game. I modded DAO and swapped Anders face in for Alistair just because I don't think DA2 looks much like Anders. I miss the old Anders...and the old Justice. sigh

Someone did mod Anders in DA2 to have his old hairstyle back and that helps. It's here in projects somewhere.

My cannon Warden romanced Alistair, but forced him to be King because she thought he'd be more sympathetic to the elves than Anora. After that, she had a thing with Zev.

"There are no happy endings for Elves or Wardens" is her philosophy. In playthroughs where my Hawke romances Fenris, I like to think that Anders ends up finding his Warden again. That's the only way I can live with myself.

I know how you feel. Alistair is the sweetest thing since Orlesian cake, and I loved romancing him with my mage Wardens. Sadly, the Warden who ended up as my canon is a bit of a female canine and the romance between her and Alistair is kind of horrible and anti-sweet and I don't want to think about it.

that's ok. Alistair sacrificed himself for her in my canon playthrough (she was going to take the blow for him but he ninja'ed it from her!) so it wasn't exactly a happily ever after either

(and yes, apparently i always go for the doomed relationships in these games)

I do too it seems. I always let my girls die in dao that romanced Ali.

It would have been an interesting twist if when Anders was sitting on the crate we could have said:

"I'm as guilty as you are!" and brought out the MK and did ourselves in right there.

Imagine Anders hearing a crash-bang to slightly turn and see us dead.

Of course game over I suppose but still. I wonder what would have happened to him then and what would have gone through his mind at that point.

I dunno. Awakening Anders doesn't use bloodmagic (unless the warden teaches him), doesn't involve others in his problems (Unless the Warden butts in), is rather laid back and personable. I think they would've gotten along fine.  

And on an offtopic note I must've been crazy taking that twilight fanfic request. I'm trying to reread the books but...how am I supposed to write a decent JacobxBella with this...I'd end making her OOC.

Yes, you can, if your approval is high enough and you haven't broken it off before.

So long as he has a romance trigger still intact, you can. Same goes for Leliana.

hm.. i may have to try that some time. Not for my canon though. i grew attached to the idea of her pining for Alistair the whole last bit which makes him kissing her and running off to slay the demon all the more bittersweet.

My friend and I talk about this a lot. While Anders obviously belongs with Hawke, the Warden does have a different perspective... she knew Justice and Anders before the merge. Chances are Justice liked and respected her as well (he was 100% friend in all my playthroughs).

Everyone who meets Justice in DA2 hates him and assumes he's a demon... something haunting and destroying Anders, a force to be battled. I think that this is part of why Justice is so angry. Dealing with someone who doesn't consider him a demon and Anders and abomination might help calm him down substantially. They could use someone around who knew them both back when.
