Who gets to be the heroine?  Hawke or the Warden?

And three in a row... no pressure or anything...

Maybe both for double the fun? :innocent:

Do iiiittttt. *does jedi mind trick hand wave* do iiiittt.

Any RPG suggestions that *aren't* BW games or the Witcher? (Or fallout or fable). I need a time sinker that's hopefully fun.

Have you ever played Shadow Hearts?

Or to go even more oldschool, Chrono Trigger?

Those are my non-bioware favorites.

And a video game pastiche for Top:

My friend and I talk about this a lot. While Anders obviously belongs with Hawke, the Warden does have a different perspective... she knew Justice and Anders before the merge. Chances are Justice liked and respected her as well (he was 100% friend in all my playthroughs).

Everyone who meets Justice in DA2 hates him and assumes he's a demon... something haunting and destroying Anders, a force to be battled. I think that this is part of why Justice is so angry. Dealing with someone who doesn't consider him a demon and Anders and abomination might help calm him down substantially. They could use someone around who knew them both back when.

thats interesting. I wonder if the warden would have a better shot at finding a way to separate them (mentally or physically) since she knows them both and has a better understanding of who the spirit of justice is

I have SHadow Hearts. (That ring though...oh god that ring is like my sworn enemy).

CHRONO TRIGGER! But...my psp was stolen. :crying: *weeps* I know I can probably get an emulator and run it on PC though.

Sialater wrote...

I'm partial to Resident Evil. ;)

And somehow I'm not surprised.  Which one?

But that new tomb raider game...that's gonna be glorious.

Huzzah, not as many pages to catch up on as I feared. And be still my heart, we're talking about Justice now, and not heavy politics. I miss that zombie paladin. Wish there was more interaction with just him, like we got in Night Terrors.

First time I've actually wanted to play a TR game. This years E3...so awesome. Though Microsoft's obsession with Kinect in everything...:?

Do you have a favorite between those two?

...and now that I think about it Marcello from DQ8 reminds me abit of Anders. They both are victims of the system (because Marcello's a bastard and unwanted he's sent to the church but can nver raise as high as he wants to because of his origins.) Marcello's a bit diff because he has to deal with Angelo though. And he tries to rebuild the system by forcing himself onto the top...it just blows up in his face because he used the Scepter of doom.

I like 5 better than 4 if only because no obnoxious President's daughter's yelling "LEON," every five seconds.

seconded! And there really needed to be more in depth conversation option when you first meet him in the fade. It was the games only chance to show newcomers who Justice was outside of vengeance

My Warden doesn't much care, she just wants him sane and not in constant mental agony. Whether that involves them reaching consensus or Justice and Anders taking turns at the wheel, that's up for them to sort out (She'll help, of course). I've previously mentioned my idea that Anders needs to deal with his anger in order to help them both find peace.

Her Warden proposed something like this (paraphrasing terribly)

"So... can Justice just ride along with anyone?"
"We are one now and... wait. I know that look. Andraste's ******, you cannot be thinking what I think you're thinking."
"I figure the Elves could use a little Justice. You got your turn with the mages. Come on!"
"One, it's literally impossible. Two, it's insane. You've seen what it did to me!"
"Hey, you said the problem was your anger. I'm affable."

Seriously. I really wanted to get to know him. At least get a chance to tell him to chill out and take it easy on Anders.

 Great now I'm reminded of that whole "Do not Save/I won't make you save" thing from MGS2.

But I'll try them both.

But was the PD your companion? Or was she just over the radio orsomething?

My Warden's depends on which one my main one is...not to nice. She's more likely to yell and try to beat some sense into Justice/Anders. My males though. They're liable to give him the "son I am dissappoint." look.

She's a dead weight NPC you have to carry around.

At least in 5 you can have two players, and if you don't, the NPC shoots, too.

For the whole game? Let me guess superbly stupid AI that wanders into enemy fire and probably gets right infront of you when you're attacking?

That sounds better than dead weight. (the NPC shooting).

Yes.  And she gets captured and screams the main character's name (Leon S. Kennedy, hence the "Leon") the whole time.

I haven't finished 5 -- the friend I was playing with moved and my husband's not quite as interested -- but I had more fun playing it than 4.

Anyway... uh... ANDERS!:wizard:

It's no great secret based on my stories that I have a great deal of sympathy for the spirit. His personality was so very childlike in Awakenings, and in DA2 it's like he's entering a period of adolesence. There's all these emotions now - chaotic and confusing, and they're trying to do the right thing, but there's all these nuances about the world that he still doesn't understand, will only be able to understand with time. And time is something he and Anders can't waste.

Oh, I know what you mean. I was very fond of his Awakenings self and his bumbling steps into the world of mortals.

hm… as a spirit Justice would have no real concept of running out of time for fulfilling his purpose. Being put in anders body, who as a living human knows time runs out eventually, would be an hard emotion to be merged with. I wonder if that's part of the reason Justice has this need for urgency in their actions

Anders. I do wonder if Justice is gonna assume direct control of his body if you killed him.

Nooo, don't do that! Number four was awesome! The atmosphere in the game is fantastic. You really ought to give it a try.

And Justice controlling Anders' body would be incredibly disturbing.
