Eeeeek! David Gaider's newly announced book takes place during Dragon Age II. In his own words "It takes place in the current time of Dragon Age II; the period where Varric is being interrogated by Cassandra. And it tells the story of how the Templar Order and The Circle of Magi came to separate from The Chantry."

I distinctly remember you comparing Anders/m!Hawke fans to princess Cousie at least once which absolutely boggles my mind, and you get a little anal pained any time any girl comes in with some innocuous "i like m/m" squeebarf, so, uh, extrapolations and all that

One of the reasons I have been vocal when someone ****es about F!Hawke/Anders is because I don't want anyone's preferred pairing to be dismissed or for anyone to feel like they're Doing It Wrong when it comes to loving Anders.

And some are speculating that the main character is Wynne's son. If that's true (we know how internet rumors are), words cannot explain how excited I am. To bring it back to Anders, I'm hoping this will give us some insight into what happened to him after DA II, or perhaps even inklings if his influence.
Edit: Okay, after actually listening to the whole thing, it's confirmed that Wynne's son is indeed in the novel, and that Wynne and Shale are both in the story as well.

Seconded. When someone turns up and says outright: "FHawkexAnders is icky" - which has happened - I think it is important that people try to keep the discussion open and friendly.

That's pretty straightforward. I think he's overrated. I've explained why before, no need to reiterate. As for m/m anal hurt...no. I haven't hidden the fact that f/m and f/f is my preference when it comes to roleplaying and fanworks, but I KNOW I've never said anything negative about m/m besides it not being enough, on its own, to lure me into playing a male protagonist. If I recall correctly, the main thing that irked people about hardcore CousGirls wasn't their numbers, but the insisting that Alistair x Warden can't end well unless : 1. The Warden marries Alistair 2. He becomes king 3. (optional) they have babies, forgetting about the whole Grey Warden thing.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

As I'm almost positive that I don't think I've ever brought up princess Cousland here (and my opinion on that end is definitely that vocal Princess Cousland fans have a tendency to hate on other Ali/Warden pairings and to be entitled when it comes to content that would only apply to them...plus the fact that it's overrated for something that is consistently heralded as The Best). I may have, though. I post a lot.
Huh. I have never noticed any of this. Has this been happening in the Alistair fan threads?
I don't really remember it being that way, and I tend to remember stuff like that very well. I can almost swear it was the opposite and people made fun of the princess couscous ending.
Everything else was deemed 'tragic' or something.
So cous means vagina? So Cousland is the female equivalent of... this?

well at least people will stop speculating that malcolm was wynne's son. i can't say i'm overexcited about the book; i don't care too much for wynne, she just never stopped talking. please don't lynch me in a mob
now if anders didn't stop talking i wouldn't stop playing...
edit; "...penises and vaginas and which work best with which."
unfortunate choice of words. now i'm imagining - no. you don't want to know what i'm imagining

This is pretty much the extent of what I said, on Twitter: "For me, Male Hawke is to DA2 what Princess Cousland was to DA. #overrated"

Well, if people didn't realize that rectons happen when (dead) Oghren showed up in Amaranthine, when (not recruited) Anders met (dead at the Dragonbone Wastes) Justice, and (dead) Leliana showed up in Kirkwall, I honestly don't know what to say.
I wonder, since the novel will cover how the mages revolted and why the templars left, if Anders will be mentioned in the story.
