Once again, a bit late I know. Anyways, Anders did not have to get the recipe from the Qunari to learn a bit about mundane explosions. Remember - He was there in Awakenings at Vigil's Keep with the crazy dwarf that like to explode things.....
That's true. But I wouldn't necessarily consider those kinds of explosions to be "mundane"... They required lyrium, and they required the Good Stuff, so the raw lyrium crafting sources that Hawke finds around Kirkwall, Sundermount, etc would not be refined enough. At least I'd think not. And I don't know how that gets refined. Maybe he did just have to do that. But the red glowy makes me think of the red of raw lyrium... Awgh.Headcanon FTW!Mekarah wrote...

OH! QUESTION! Can you run away with him just as buddies? Because Aniselle is rivalmancing Fenris, but she'd totally take up Anders's cause and follow him...
I think the only person that stays with Hawke in the end is the love interest, at least according to Varric. Your headcanon can do whatever it likes
My headcanon on the only playthrough in which I romanced Fenris had us convincing Anders to travel with us to Tevinter, and try to go overthrow the Black Chantry over there in order to weaken the source of power of the Magisters, and give slaves all over the Imperium a shot at freedom!
Viva la revolution!
Would be interesting to have Varric explain to Cassandra:
"This is a good news / bad news scenario. The good news is, if Hawke has his way and Anders and his buddy Justice prove themselves to be just as efficient as they were here... Well you just might be able to kiss goodbye to the Black Chantry's supremacy over the Imperium within the next decade or so... The bad news is, he has no love for any form of opressing religious regime, including you guys. If you're looking for his help in order to regain control over the mages and the Circles, you are wasting your time. He'd rather die than try to convince anyone to submit to the Chantry."
