I don't believe so. The "rapid personality shift if you side with mages during rivalmance" is something we complain about all the time here.

control abomination that must die at all cost in order to ensure that he
never again loses himself to Justice...  And happily run away with you
at the end of the rivalmance if you side with mages?

My work monitor is kind of wonky. Some fonts are easier to read than others. When I read this, I swapped a few letters in the first name, one of which was a T, and it was much more entertaining.

And again, I see that modders can't just do one thing. It can't just be blue eyes, or pouty lips (did they really need to be poutier?) or a face tattoo...it has to be ALL OF IT and, what the hell, a couple of corndogs.

I'm so with you on this. I rage way more than I should when I see an Anders that doesn't have golden-brown eyes. And facial tattoos on him are atrocious. The only Anders mods I can even stomach are ones that make him look slightly (very slightly) more like DAA Anders. Even then, I like how he looks in DA2, all scruffy and soulful.

If you rival him and side with the mages, I think Anders still believes he's probably losing himself to Vengeance... but since Hawke condones the thing Vengeance just did, who the hell knows if that's a bad thing anymore? It's the difference between him believing he's going crazy and doing things that are right and going crazy and doing things that are wrong. I think he still gives the speech about your potential children being born mages and free if you side with the mages during the rivalmance. I could be wrong.

My Anders rivalmance Hawke is of the opinion that he's a dangerous lunatic, but she's already shown herself to be quite tolerant of dangerous lunatics as long as they are actually on her side. So I can imagine rival Anders thinking "well, at least as long as Hawke approves of what I've done, I must not be a complete monster yet."

I wish there was a way for him to acknowledge a rivalmance Hawke gradually coming over to his side. In my head canon his manifestos actaually work on my Hawke after he's been living there. And by act 3 everything she did was *for* not *against* mages.

Oh sweet maker, I was laughing hysterically at those Anders mods. I know I brought it up before, but the one I used NEVER were so horrible >.<.

Now I've pretty much grown to the soft brown eyes and features that original Anders has. I can maybe imagine him slightly more like Awakenings, but that is all. I don't think I would change him again.

I was sure his Gallows speech would be different on rivalmance when siding with the mages, so I went when he didn't. I wonder if it's bugged. I also wonder if his romance scene is supposed to be different when rivalmanced. Haven't played the friended romance versions of Merril's or Fenris', but I think those are both different than the ones I got on rivalry. So I imagine Isabela's and Anders' are also supposed to be different.


On an Awakening related note, does anyone know if you still have to do the Blackmarsh last to make everyone a Warden? I want to run around on quests with Justice, but I don't want to get to the endgame and not be able to make Velanna a Warden.

You can actually take Sigrun back to the Vigil before you kill the broodmothers and make her a Warden without having the quest for it.  It's a little discrepancy in actual roleplaying, but it doesn't break anything, which is why I usually do her stuff last.

Putting personal preference aside, I just don't jive with the idea that any Anders who would primp and preen and put on THAT MUCH makeup would be the sort to slum it in Darktown and actually, well, do anything for anyone else. Much less a bunch of dirty, smelly refugees with no coin.

That being said, I love his scruffy not-super-model-gorgeous self. He's just so sweet, like a scrappy little lost mutt puppy with big eyes who's been kicked too much but who perks up and yaps and wags his tail when you pet him on the head.  Puppy! (I know he's all about cats and kittens but he himself does not, to me, seem to have any cat-like qualities. Not even pre-Justice.) And I love his little cute half-ponytail hair, that's my absolute fav on a guy.

at least with anders-mods we have a reasonable explanation as to why cullen doesn't recognise anders when you parade him up and down the gallows
