3. 5. and 6.. and only my daughter, the 6 year old, likes ponies.. though I wouldn't be supprised if the 3 year old does too. He does enjoy playing with his sister's tea-party set and baby dolls. The Hubby wants to enroll him in sports. I'm thinking I should just get it over with and have him join the local theater group

As much as I love Anders, I don't see BW giving him that much more game time, if any at all. He was pretty much the most important character in DA2 and a prominent character in Awakening. Unless Hawke is the protagonist in DA3, I can't imagine him showing up to help yet another hero. Especially since he's probably mostly dead.

Indeed, Anders suffers from Wrex's problem: dead in too many saves... with the added problem of also being despised by many, many people. So it's not really the same as Tali and Garrus, who are both pretty beloved.

At this point I don't know what to hope for from Anders in DA3. The most I could imagine is a big cameo, something that shows that he's alive and still fighting, but doesn't give us much more information... like he shows up to fight in some dramatic battle with your protagonist and then says something like "I've got to go... I have people waiting for me," and disappears.

If Hawke is the main character again, It gets even more difficult, because of all the friendship/rivalry/death combinations. I don't want to see Anders split from his Hawke, but I can't imagine they'd make a full companion out of someone who is dead or insane in such a large percentage of games.

Mostly, I'm hoping for rumors and legends, but not much more than that. The less that's said in canon the better, in my mind.

I agree, I don't think I'd want Anders to come back (although that's because I don't want another full DA game with Hawke, I like that they stopped the Warden's story - although an expansion like Awakenings would be fine)

I don't think Anders should come back. They essentially ended his story, whatever an individual Hawke decided to do with him. I'm hoping we get a new protagonist, as much as I adore my Wardens (my Aeducan rivaled even Shep in awesome). I can't see them getting the various origins to work graphically and, though Hawke is an adorable dork, she/he is remarkably ineffectual, all things considered. After the run-away-and-hide win over the Arishok I decided that I could like the idiot but respect? Not so much.
