Sorry for the derailement, but I never got Merrill's secondary outfit, but I did her quest. I assume that's a bug? I do not know how it looks like even. And which companion have secondary outfits?

I like Anders' black outfit.

I believe you only get Merrill's secondary outfit if you romance her. The only companion who gets a second outfit without romance is Anders.

All the romance options, they change after you bang 'em engage in implied sexual intercourse with them.

And are the secondary outfits in the wiki? I'd like to see them.

Personally, I would have preferred all companions changing outfits across the game like Aveline.

Izzy has a black thing (don't know what it's called) on her arm and some sort of black corset? thing. (I dunno what that's called either). Fenris is wearing the Amell crest on his hip.

It's called a pauldron, and it changes form and partially changes its color after romance. Corset is correct

If you want to start a long contentious discussion, bring up to the Fenris thread that this and the fact he says "I am yours" are intentional references to the fact he still has a slave/owner mindset when it comes to Hawke.  

All the ways people can rationalize their denial of something so obvious is kind of fun to read.

I was basing that off an actual kinkmeme prompt that requested F!Hawke getting pregnant by BOTH Fenris and Anders where she was going through lyrium addiction and had mage babies. You think I wouldn't have found it just as awful if It was a male Hawke? Actually, it would have been worse since mpreg.

And yes, clearly I hate female characters.

I have to say that I truly despise those Pregnancy prompts with an undying passion. <_<

 I can play both female and male characters equally but those pregancy prompts make me so livid they drive me to slash.

That's the interpretation I am having right now, as well. But I am not that interested in getting in a long discussion with fans of his, as I am mostly indifferent to him as a character.

I was really hoping all the characters would get alternate outfits and more than just one. I mean...even in ME2 all the squaddies got an alternate outfit.  

Though...preganacy prompts? What are they the HEA sort of story?

Spoilers: Nothing was resolved. David Gaider later posted in another thread that Fenris' role in the story was to serve as a foil for Anders, and to provide a perspective on a different society in which mages were free to do as they pleased. So that would tie in to some of my arguments in that thread about why he was ineffective in this role.

I watched a little clip that came out before the game was released where the devs were talking about the direction they wanted to go with DA2, and how they wanted to focus the changes Hawke can make on his/her relationship with the other companions. Also that they wanted each character to serve a distinct and more or less important role in the game beyond just being a companion. I was racking my brain trying to think what the heck Fenris does. He just ****es about mages and looks pretty (I'm not an otaku but I share some limited number of their tastes) and doesn't do anything. Merrill and her mirror are just a little weak, since we don't know wtf the deal is with the Eluvian yet (and we'd fricken better in the next game), and Sebastian... he's weak too, mainly because he was optional DLC, but at least he has a whole city-state to command.

So the whole point of Fenris is just because of Anders... That's hilarious.

I am agreeing with you thus far and I certainly agree with Thane comparision. He was also a character I am almost completely indifferent to.
