So who's getting the DLC? I'm excited. Grey Wardens! I wonder if Alistair or Nate will show up.

Maker, I hope so! I am really looking forward to this DLC.

Did anybody else notice that Stroud only gives his "But if I do this, we are even" line when Bethany becomes a Grey Warden, but not when Carver does? Weird.

No, I never noticed that! I will have to pay more attention next time.

This is one of my favorite Anders action pics in the game. I usually wind up killing Bartrand to spare him from years of demented raving, but I just love Anders in this sequence. It isn't often that we get a chance to see him play healer.

And Queen-of-Stuff, I am very relieved to hear that you and your loved ones are safe. As someone who worked within sight of Ground Zero, I know that it will be a long, long time before life returns to anything even close to normal. But it will. My heart goes out to all those affected by this tragedy.

Thank you kindly, berelinde. As does mine. It's horrible what's happened.

As for the DLC, I am excited to the tips of my fingers. Not sure if I should be, because I know that throwing some well placed scenes together, with dramatic music and a mysterious voice talking in the background is pretty much guaranteed to make any movie/game/event seem ten times cooler than it actually is, but I can't help myself. I will be getting it.

Well Anders won't be in my first playthrough, because I killed him on my first go, so it will be interesting to see how it differs with and without him.

Does not really matter.

The Post-Campaign save takes place BEFORE the Last Straw in the time line.

what @giggles said, but he's not compulsory anyway, so it doesn't matter. just bring him and varric and sibling on one run then switch it up on the others.

Gah. I completely forgot about the DLC. I'll need to go buy some points.

Unless the trailer was lying or I saw something else, I'm more excited to see what that Justice looking specific moment is.

From what I read, you can play the DLC anytime after the escape from Lothering to the end of act 3.

Huh I clearly recall them saying that if someone is gone from the party picker ( as in you cant see them in it anymore) they cant be chosen.

But if they are grayed out (like the siblings are post act 1) then you can choose them from the DLC.

You know, a lot of people complain about Anders. That should've been the tip off that told me I was going to like this guy.

When he started talking about mage's having the natural rights to be free like anyone else, I knew this was someone I was going to like. The fact that he even uses the phrase 'natural rights' tells me a hell of a lot about him right there. With that in mind, I'd pay good money hear him say he was willing to pledge his life, fortune, and sacred honor to his cause. I know I would do the same, after some of the **** the templars have already pulled in playthrough.

Hah. Most people don't feel the same. They all think he's a complete idiot who "whines". They don't seem to realize that the guy is *supposed* to be ridiculously overbearing about his likes and dislikes, because he was written like he was bipolar. They generally lump him in the same category with Fenris since he is constantly crying about mages (albeit for different reasons)

People always boil characters down to their base traits when they hate them.

Ignoring depth is easy when a character offends someone.

Quick question: Was it Justice that merged with Anders, or was it a spirit named Vengeance? He had a line that said he had confused the two. I got the impression that he was being driven by a vengeful spirit rather than a spirit to set things right. Especially when you consider he blows the Chantry tower to bits and thinks it's ok.

It was Justice, the character that Anders befriended in Awakening. Player opinion on whether blowing the Chantry to bits was justified varies from player to player, but Anders, at least, believed that it was. Justice, the Fade spirit that merged with Anders, was perverted into Vengeance after he moved into Anders's skull, not before. It was Anders's own hatred of templars and rage at the injustice his people have endured across the centuries that perverted Justice, not the other way around.

Edited to clarify pronoun usage.

Second edit: Saying that Anders believed that strategic redevelopment of Hightown was justified is a gross oversimplification. He never said that the victims deserved death. In fact, he stated many times that they did not, and was prepared to pay for his crimes with his own life because that was the only way he could atone for what he did. He was motivated by a desire to bring about social and legal change.

The devs confirmed that if someone is gone from your companion selection in the post-game save that they would not be available to take with you during Legacy gameplay.

If you killed Anders, and you load your post-game save to play Legacy, Anders will still be dead, in other words.

Just loaded a post-campaign save to see what it held, and everybody was blood-splattered. So apparently, at least some fighting happened.

I've actually never played any of Dragon Age's DLC content. Never had Shale or Sebastian. I never got Awakenings. Sort of wish I had since Anders is in it lol, but I heard it wasn't really that great. Figured I was never missing that much.

I enjoyed Awakenings. Actually I played it first after I played DA2, which is why I had to redo my canon!Hawke PT. lol. My issue was that I didn't have the harddrive space (edit: on my 360. didn't have the 250GB HD yet) to download the expansion... Erm.

Anyway I really enjoyed getting to play around with Anders when he was still able to cope with the world.

Yeah, I'd hate to have to do like another PT of my canon hawke >.> since I just now finished it. But eh, it wouldn't be too bad I guess haha. I'd probably not be a ho and just romance Anders if I did another canon playthrough.

Yeahhh, that's kinda why I wish I had it. Even though I think it will annoy me not hearing Adam Howden's voice. Most people feel the opposite way, prob since they heard the Awakening Anders voice first though lol. It'd be cool to play my warden again. It doesn't change too much with DA2 though I think, besides the Nathaniel quest? (Which, my warden is a Cousland...I'm like designed to hate him forever. No matter if he wasn't involved or not.)

But...lol @ Awakening Anders banter.

* Oghren: So... mage, huh? What's it like?
* Anders: To have all this power at my fingertips?
* Oghren: No. To always have to wear a skirt? (Laughs)
* Anders: Oh, you don't know the story behind the robes? You know how strict things are in the Circle, right? Of course you do. Well, the robes make quick trysts in the corner easy. No laces or buttons. You're done before the templars catch on.
* Oghren: Really?
* Anders: Just ask anyone.

DIRTY ANDERS, DIRTY. <3

I got Dragon Age used and by chance it still had the card for Shale inside that was unused. Though I didn't finally download until I realized the expiration date didn't matter.

I like the one where somebody asks Anders if he always wears robes, and he responds in a sexy voice, "Not when I'm naked I don't." *giggle*

Wait. What? The Expiration Date doesn't matter? I have the Shale thing in my Origins case, but I didn't end up playing the game until like 2 months ago and I bought the game so long ago. The Shale DLC is expired. You're saying it will still activate it? Well, that sucks. I just played that game >.>

I've heard that Shale isn't very interesting.

But Awakenings is good :D for Anders cuteness. Aaannnddeerrrssssss~

You can pull Ser Pounce-a-Lot out randomly and he'll go MEOW! and Anders will go DAWW SER POUNCE A LOT I LURVE U. (or some such ridiculousness... you don't actually ever SEE the cat again after you first find him)

That's what I read somewhere and it did activate for me.
