I don't think I'm that badly ruined, but I'm pretty close.  I can never do the meanest things to companions, even if I don't like them much.  But yes, Anders has ruined me.  He has FAR surpassed Alistair in my book, who was previously my favorite LI.

Stupid Anders.

I usually can't either but handing Fenris to the Magister was the easiest decision ever. I giggled when I realized I could >_> Though I did reload and kept him because I needed his 2H tank skillz and his party mansion.

I think Anders is the one on the right looking at the sky. And I think Fenris is on the left looking like his arms are crossed. If any party members are actually supposed to be there.

I actually started playing again immediately after finishing the game the first time, to do the Fenris romance.  I tried both a friendship romance and then the rivalry version, but while I think that is one sexy elf, and under other circumstances I would think it's great, within the context of the game, it's not the same.  I didn't really connect with those Hawkes, and the romance didn't feel as much of a part of the story as the Anders romance does.  I don't even *want* to be attached to Anders, because I prefer a "happy ending" for my characters, but...SIGH.  GODDAMMIT ANDERS.

It's hard.  I intended to have a Hawke for everyone, but Anders is far and away my favorite.  Fenris is okay.  There's nothing wrong with Fenris; he's adorable, his voice is sexy, his story is interesting, and the romance plays out fairly well.  But it just lacks something for me.  It's so hard to resist Anders, too.

The most fun part of Fenris's romance is the part up to the break-up anyway, IMO, so my canon hooks up with him after getting the "NAY I WILL HURT YE" speech from Anders.  She assumed she'd have no chance with Anders, and she wanted some lovin' from somewhere.  But she and Anders have a chemistry that will not be denied!

I can't even bring myself to enjoy Fenris's romance, not with that Crazy Pants over there giving me the look-over... Izzy's fun for a little bit of a tumble, Merrill just annoys me...

I romanced Fenris by never talking to Anders. I took him along because I needed a healer, and when I got him to 50 rivalry he was suddenly in my face about there being something between us. I let him down easy, but not after making saves for the kiss and romance scene and then reloading >.> I am so easy.

This is because I didn't know at that point she was insane. I thought she was just overzealous.

Oh, my canon Hawke is Anders's. And all of my fanfic will be Anders LI centric, unless what happened to me with Origins happens to me here (which I doubt) and I get distracted by a character in an expansion and abandon my pixel love for him. (Poor Alistair, whom I adored, got shelved SO DAMN QUICK after Awakenings came out).

I feel weirdly guilty that I haven't played the Fenris romance yet, because... I mean... Gideon Emery.... but I'm not quite done with Anders yet.

This. My first Hawke just wanted some action and was a super-massive flirt. Up until she realized that she hated blood mages and would rather stab herself in the eye than get with Merill and that Isabela had some sort of disease. By the time she could flirt with Sebastian, Ander was all over her. Also, her habit of doing 'in town' quests led to Anders putting out first, so she stopped flirting with anyone other than Varric or Aveline, except for a moment of weakness when she responded to Zev's flirting.

hmm weird I was at 100% rivalry in act 1 lol. But I got the crazy manic dialogue in Act 3. This thread moves sooo fast, I know this was pages ago, but while I was asleep this thread has grown about 20 pages.

If so I too got that at full rivalry. 

It's the one, post-"Justice" quest where he gets all excited/crazy/happy about having placed the bomb. He talks about feeling a happiness greater than mortals feel or something equally crazy sounding. I never got it in the friendship path, but a few people have since posted that they got it despite being 100% rival.

yep that's the one I got and I was 100% rivalry. Also if you pick the joke option you get a line about "even justice bows to you for the faith you've shown in us".

I just saw so very little crazy at all in my Anders friendmance. It really seems like, with Hawke's support, Justice and Anders merged pretty well and became pretty content. As long as they can keep on fighting for mage freedom, I see them staying content. So really I have no problem seeing Hawke and Anders riding off into the sunset to fight Templars together happily ever after.
