This list is my cue to never seriously attempt to contribute to discussion in this thread again.

That said, I'm pretty sure my shtick had grown tiresome anyway.

Looks like we've run out of things to talk about.  Gosh it's like the Fenris thread or something now.

It's been a nice 2000 pages, you guys.

Literally took the words right out of my mouth.

In defense of the Fenris thread, there's not much else for them to talk about given that character's relative irrelevance.

A small break every once in a while is not such a bad thing...unless they are really considering hitting 2001 posts. If so, see you next week.

Heh, back in that 20-page debate I don't think any of them really held on to any argument that asserted Fenris' plot relevance.  Except possibly beyond, "He might be more relevant in later content."  Which implicitly acknowledges his lack of relevance in vanilla DA2.

Yami wins!

And if two hours worth of frivolous posting is enough to get snide about...something something don't be like that, guys. We were having Serious Anders Discussion this morning.

So... completely off whatever topic we're on now, was it Cyropheus that made Anders attack you, or was it Justice mistaking you for an enemy? Or was it a mix of both?

How could he control a non-darkspawn anyway? I thought Grey Wardens only heard the song, but were not compelled to action by them.

Yeah.... hell... even ANDERS isn't always THAT serious.

He made jokes.... occasionally.

ETA:  Sorry, *I* needed a break from the seriousness since I couldn't keep up with the walls-o-text while at work.

You boys spoil everything with your logic and your .. boyness. ;p You couldn't let us at least get to 100 before we got bored and moved on to real topics again?

Eh, I'd defend it - getting snide, which is my default mode really - by saying Anders' role in the story is such that anything short of taking it seriously is simply not interesting to me. I lurk. I have to, otherwise how else would I know when someone denies Anders' terrorist status?

But of course I'd be lying if I didn't understand occasional bouts of sillyness.

Also I, who normally would have instinctively reacted with a wall of text, am about to leave for the weekend.

I actually have several long posts on topics that periodically come up just sitting in a notepad file, waiting for the subject to come up again organically. Because you know that in this thread, it always will.

I assumed it was sort of a mix. Like, Corypheus was messing with his head. Justice popped out as a way to fight against that. So all the mental stress and such just made Justice lash out at whatever was around him since he couldn't physically fight the Call.

The Grey Wardens are technically ghouls, but the taint is delayed. If the Warden doesn't die immediately around the time he begins to hear the Calling, he does eventually turn into a full ghoul. I assume such close proximity to the song just makes it more immediate even to less progressed Wardens.

That swhat I figure as well. Justice is trying to help, but he's a spirit, and this is a Magister.. a real one, not one of those phonies who live in Tevinter now. So it went "OO LOOK A SPIRIT" and went all minature mindcontrol on both of them.

That would be true except in case the uniciated specially sucks at forums...

...and before I mess it up again while you change the topic to logical discussion, there's my last one:

# (what number is that supposed to be?) Allowing insane people around the world to somehow build up a 200? pages thread about him. ^_^

I know. But the brother of Warden-Commander what's-her-name in the Calling didn't seem forced to action by the taint, nor did Utha, unlike Tamlen-ghoul. The brother seemed to have his mind twisted by it, but Gets Better at the end. I just assumed that it was different for Grey Wardens than ordinary people.

@ Yami That makes sense!

That's what I'm been puzzling over the most, I think. They kept describing Corypheus' influence as a "song," and we know Justice used to get a bit catnip-trippy with lyrium's "song." They could have similar effects and manipulated the both of them, or maybe Justice decided to take over and blamed Hawke for dragging Anders down here. So, possibly interpert as you will, depending on friend/rival and how you see their merger? I can certainly see many options.

The Architect did some stuff to them so they would keep their minds, didn't he? I don't even remember anymore, hu hu hu hu
