I thought I heard it's possible for Anders to talk to you after the Legacy quest...maybe I'm thinking of something else. Because I thought it was either your sibling/mom, just the sibling, or Gamlen talks to you if both siblings are dead.

Yeah, I especially hate how you can't even say anything to Anders after the whole Justice freak out fight. Makes no sense.

I've played it through twice (Circle Bethany, then both siblings dead) and have only gotten conversations with family members. The echo of Leandra was sad, but Gamlen's conversation was funny.
Is the conversation after the Malcolm's Will quest only with your sibling or Anders, or can it also be one of the other LIs?

i've been holding off on listening to all the legacy banter until i do at least another runthrough, but if i'm not going to get this particular one anyway, i'd love to know what it is.

I got to talk to Fenris after Malcolm's Will when I didn't bring a sibling or Anders, I'm not sure how other characters are 'stacked' in priority and it may not be a LI thing even though my Hawke was romancing Fenris since his romance in legacy is bugged

Lol, off-topic much. I just wonder if anyone in this thread has pursued it, or know what people like about it? Just was listening to some of that party banter lol.
also, isn't it great how the Anders thread is the biggest companion thread? Taint Brigade FTW

It's in one of the many Legacy party banter videos. I can't remember it exactly, but it's when Anders is freaking out about the voices. Snarky Hawke offers to distract him with a kiss, but so far I don't think anyone has triggered it in-game.

I'm actually faintly glad I don't have Sebastian's DLC. I really don't need a redundant archer who's a sanctimonious preacher. He'd get under my skin whereas Varric is my best bud.
Plus he hates Anders largely on principle. What a douche.

I might've triggered it. Sounds familiar, anyway. Was playing female snarky mage!Hawke from a post-game save and may have triggered it the time before he freaks out.

I just felt your post needed to seen again lol. Also I am a bit jealous you saved money. I really thought from the trailer he was going to be a really neat addition to the game, but I was so wrong.

Does anybody have any idea why people are hating on this DLC so badly? OK, some of the banters are a little glitchy, but, with apologies to Fenris fans, it's solid DLC. I don't recall any of the Origins DLC being this good. It has everything: interesting plot, brilliant banter, LI involvement, and some killer character moments. What more could they have done? Mailed Fleshlights to all who downloaded it?ademska wrote...

i was under the impression that, with the exception of the jackass gamespot reviewer and only the staunchest of da2 haters, the legacy reception was excellent. at least as far as bsn is concerned.berelinde wrote...

It's a bit spotty elsewhere, as well. Some of the Infinity Engine communities I frequent are pretty harsh on it. Doesn't matter, though. The opinion of every reviewer out there wouldn't change the fact that many people do enjoy it. I certainly do.ademska wrote...

And I can't imagine not having him around at endgame. Who else would yell "MAKER NOOO"? And the waffling comment always makes me snicker because a) that's what he does for pretty much the entire game and
And come on, he has a Scottish accent. *drools*
What?

Gonna have to add my voice to the "I wish I hadn't bought Seb" crowd. No offense to those that do. Does anyone insist you kill Anders if he's not present?

To be fair, I don't think Seb is a bad character. I don't like him at all. Probably for unfair reasons, since everything he says makes me grit my teeth and want to slug him. (I never, EVER bring Fenris and Sebastian together anymore... cannot deal with it.) Something about his serene, placid voice and radioactive eyes inspire me to commit violence. The fact that he can make me feel anything besides vague dislike or disinterest says enough about his value as a character, I guess. It's the ones who you don't feel anything for that are actually bad characters. Despite my personal dislike for him, I think he does provide an important point of view in the party.
I personally think Fenris should have been the DLC character, while Sebastian should have been retooled a bit to take the role of the main pro-templar/Chantry guy on the team. Fenris is a pretty irrelevant character in the narrative. His only role seems to be as a foil for Anders and reminding the audience that mages are dangerous. I think Sebastian could have served that role a bit better, with Fenris serving as a more flavorful DLC character. ::shrug::

I completely missed Fenris on my first playthrough. In Origins, you could miss Zev if you ignored the flashing *Hey, maybe you should talk to this guy instead of just stabbing him" dialogue option (or if you jjust wanted to kill him). Sten stands out because he's a guy in a cage and is reciting something from the Qun when you walk by. Tthe only way you miss Leliana was if you didn't go in the tavern in a game that's in a fantasy setting. Fenris is hidden in an optional sidequest which Hawke could easily be dubious about (Gee, twitchy dwarf, this sounds an awful lot like lyrium smuggling. Uh, no thanks.)
Fenris works well as a foil for Anders/Tevinter Exposition Man/provider of melodramatic lines, but I don't feel like I missed anything plotwise by not recruiting him. But hey, Gideon Emery's voice is always nice to listen to.

Also his saying.. "you are the one who taught me that it is the ends that matter not the steps you take to get there" makes...NO. SENSE. in the context of what Anders just did...haha.

I almost missed Fenris my first time through. My Hawke wasn't exactly cool with helping out a lyrium smuggler, so I denied the quest. Later that day I was talking to my friend and she told me that I could've picked up this "awesome companion," so I reloaded and accepted the quest.
Now, the only reason I keep picking him up is for the xp that comes with his quests....if it weren't for all the stuff I can get, honestly, I'd be good without him. <_<
Next playthrough on a jerk Hawke I might just hand him over to Danarius. X)

Also I know half the people in the game are going on about something, Anders=mages, Fenris=pity me I was a slave, and Merrill= MY PEOPLES PAST! Seb= ELTHINA!!
But Seb got under my skin and I think it is because I feel like I paid for a character I didn't need. I had a ranged bowman and he was great. Also gameplay wise why would I sack my healer for another ranged? Also even if Fenris hated him, he didn't demand you kill Anders, all he says is if Anders wants death give it to him. So in that sense I think Fenris secretly cares a bit more about Anders then Seb based on the fact how long they have known one another.
Which leads me to my next complaint, because of when I got him in game I couldn't connect. I had everyone else for so long, I didn't want to take Seb any where. /rant
