The ones I saw just had white strips of paper, but I suppose fancier churches probably have fancier reliquaries. Anyway, collecting relics was at it's height around medievalish times, so it would fit in the setting of Dragon Age. If the Chantry is anything like Catholic churches, I would suppose any relics they might have are in a seperate section. Probably a side room off the main worship area.

Anyhoo, now I am wondering waaay off topic. How to salvage this.... um... I wonder if anyone scooped up bits of Anders to keep as a relic for if he goes down as a martyr? :P

Interesting. still a bit creepy to me though.

I'd pluck out his eyes and put them in a jar. I do like the color.

I find them fascinating. And also vaguely hilarious. As a professor of mine pointed out in a class that dealt in part with relics, if all of the relics were real some of these saints would have more than a skeleton worth of bones. And all of the "real cross" relics would amount to one freaking huge cross.

I personally would go for the boots. The wouldn't rot like body parts and if he never passed into quasi-saint hood, I could still at least look super stylish.

Yeah, that doesn't always go well. And sooner or later, anything you want to talk about out there will be covered in here. We've been amusing ourselves with obscure side-quests this evening. :)

So the Chantry people, fearful of losing more of their beloved basically ignore Darktown.

And the people there go without.

Logic says, they could use some Templars to help  as they adminster to the needy. Or all they too busy beating the mages into submission? <_<

Too busy following Sister Petrice around :P

You made me remember how much I enjoy killing Varnell.

I'm beginning to accept that Cullen will be the only Templar I will ever love while Thrask and Keran are the only ones I will like.

LOL that is hilarious. They just grabbed random body parts and claimed it belonged to the saint? XD

I'd steal Izzy's boots. :bandit: Though Anders' boots do look stylish. Probably nice and warm in the winter too.

The Chantry is a military body disguises as a holy organization and they are hiding things from the people. I can't wait to see their hypocrisy exposed. :wizard:

The Chantry is a political institution, with a religious mandate and a military arm. More accurate way to describe it.
One that is remarkably idiotic.

I think some political institutions are approaching that now. :crying::blink:

Yeah, it was sort of the medieval version of a tourist trap. Grab a skeleton that is in the right location to maybe be a certain saint and drag it back to your church. Then people would flock to visit that saint. Eventually I do believe the Church started doing something to confirm relics but until then it was a bit of a free for all.

Oh, and I would love to have Izzy's boots too. They are completely amazing. But if Anders is dead and not using his anyway I figure they're fair game. Plus they look really comfy. Although I bet they smell especially rank since it's the one part of his outfit that never changes.

Awww, love back at you!

And I agree, I just finished DA2, and Anders is about the only companion whose squee thread I would have any interest in partaking in. After Alistair, Anders comes a very close second as my favorite doable DA man pixel.:wub::wub::wub:

Lies! My Hawke got the special at the Rose and it definitely involved a Chantry Sister. Although, with decidedly less than sexy results.

And with all the Templars, maybe that's why they're always trying to hire Anders? Kinky Templars.

Well, it's different for the templars. They go to the Rose because the workers there don't kick, scream, or threaten to pepper spray or fireball them in the nuts during sex like the mages do. :innocent::whistle:

Hope it wasn't the Chantry sister in that horrible hat you see in the Chantry.^_^

I did notice the random Templars in the Rose were Emeric and Thrask....

I considered them to be pretty decent when it comes to Templars.
Wesley seemed to be a pretty nice guy too.

Not just Alain. The ambient lines that other mages, as well as that wandering Tranquil, made my skin crawl. It's like 75% of the templars in the Gallows seem like creepy sex predators who joined the order just so they can indulge on mages what they would get arrested for doing to mundanes.

Killing Alrik gave me the same level of satisfaction that killing Quentin and meredith gave me. Too bad I didn't know you could kill kerras too.

Yeah I so do that like whenever I'm a mage now. (Kill Kerras)
