That's about my first Hawke's reaction.  "Uh... and you are?"

But I've taken him more places this time because he does have good banters.  Still not killing Anders, though, just to keep him around.

I've tried so hard in each playthrough to really switch up companions, since my first playthrough I really didn't and missed out on a lot of banters. I don't even hate Sebastian as a character, and he does have some good banters, but he's just so redundant. If I'm going to take an archer, why wouldn't I take Varric? He has even better banters. I wish Sebastian had been a warrior instead.

But yes, same reaction from my Hawke's so far. It's like, okay, I'll choose between the dude I'm shacking up with and...you. Your name was...? Yeaaaaah.

Yeah, I'm more worried about not killing Fenris this time.  Sebastian will always get pissed at me since I can't kill Anders.

Me too! I just did a playthrough last night and it was the first time (only my second playthrough, though) that I had to kill Fenris. I mean, I don't like him over Anders but I still didn't want to kill the poor bastard. I'll have to figure that out, and that's a question for another thread.

On that note...er...ANDERS:

I didn't write down who did it (bad me), but this is of Wil and Anders, right? Well, regardless, I just love how this artist drew Anders and Hawke so yaaay.

ETA: Oh what a lucky top!

You know.... I tried feeling bad about Fenris dying in my first game.... but I did not.

By act 3 Hawke is a well known fighter who can kill anything that bleeds.
Fenris knows this.and attacks of his own free will.

He WILLINGLY attacks a person who over the past 6 years has carved a swath through darkspawn, demons, Qunari, fanatics, criminals, undead, and what ever else. Say what you want about Hawke but Hawke is a very good fighter.

That moment was not said only regrettable that he tried to attack probably the best combatant in Kirkwall.

Major depression seems to run rampant in Kirkwall, considering how many people commit suicide by Hawke. I bet all those night time thugs wouldn't be attacking you so much if they just got a damn hug once in a while.

I'm actually more pissed off to discover that when you sell Fenris back to Danarous, you only get a lousy 5 soverigns. 5 sovereigns for putting up with his broody emo JRPG reject crap for seven years? I mean, Danarious could have at least thrown in a nice and spiffy lightning damage staff in the deal. he;s a freaking magister, he must have nifty Tevinter artifacts laying around his junk drawer somewhere.

No wonder everyone hates Tevinter. Bunch of ungrateful cheapskates. :(

Lol. That's why he was at the Hanged Man. he didn't give a f*ck about Fenris, he was just there to collect all the empty beer bottles. A penny saved is a penny earned, you know.

By the way, I heard you score cool points with Anders for handing Fen back. is this true? If so, what does he say, if anything? I'll admit, it's a pretty dickish thing to do on Anders part, but would still be worth seeing if he has anything interesting to say.

He gains +5 friendship points.
I think he says: And I thought that I was the only one thinking that.

But I much prefer violently murdering every slaver I get my hands on.

Last time I played, i didn't have much of a choice, since every slaver I ran into was trying to violently kill me. About the only person I remember gaining any pleasure out of killing was Grace. Ungrateful nutty cow. Normally, I'm against forced tranquility, but by the time I ran into that stupid b*tch in the Gallows, blaming ME for her getting recaptured after I helped save her sorry ass, I really wanted to go find Ser Alrik and tell him I just found him a new love slave in need of a lobotomy.

Hell, I wish Anders would have gone Justice on her instead of that poor kid Ella.

Oooh Anders thread~ How I love coming back from a crappy day to see your arguments. They either make me laugh or snicker.

I've never actually handed Fenris over to Danarius. I kinda like the elf even if he is a brooding mess, but who in the game isn't? :P Anders is one of my favorite characters, if not my most favorite, but I'm not going to hand over Fenris just to earn 5 points with Anders when by that time I've already got him maxed one way or the other.

And yeah, I'm pro-mage and I wish I could have tranquilized Grace. >_> She's too psycho for me.

like I said, I would have handed Fenris over if the reward was actually worth it. Didn't need the friend points with Anders either, since he's pretty much maxed just after the beginning of Act 2. I did, however, need a damned staff, since every staff in the game thats any good is either fire or cold damage, or blood mage related, none of which do my mage any good. Oh, well. So much for hoping playing a complete ruthless b*tch of a Hawke might actually be rewarding in some way.

Has anyone rivalmanced Anders? What is his rivalry like, as far as his relationship to hawke, as well as his opinions and beliefs? I doubt I'll ever be able to simply because doing so seems like taking a pro-templar stance, which ain't happeneing, at least not while Meredith and idiots like her are running the Gallows. But I would be curious to find out how it differs.

Basically what happens when you rivalmance Anders, if you don't side with the mages at the end, is you break his will. He's basically not Anders anymore, at least that's the way I see it. I rivalmanced him once, but didn't side the with Templars. There was no way I could do that, it just didn't seem right to do that Anders, and I still didn't agree with Meredith.

Tell me about it. Ok, well, that's settled. No rivalmancing Ser Pouts-a-Lot for me. :crying:

Thanks for sharing, cm! I shall be content to experience it via you tube, and instead stick to fully supporting his ambitions to open up his own Chantry Demolition firm in game.:wub:

I love it. In fact, I demand it as DLC. Hawke and Anders going into "unofficial business" together.

Anders, Hawke and Sons Demolition Experts. Serving your Chantry and templar removal needs since 9:37. No questions asked. All major credit cards, cash, and donations of Kitten Chow Accepted. Sorry, no checks. :police::wizard:

Well I understand why he didn't. He was trying to protect Hawke. Mine was probably more upset that he thought she'd kill him :/

Wasn't bothered he didn't share his plans, seeing the Chantry jenga'd pretty much nullified any earlier ire. My Hawke was only pissed off that he didn't share his secret recipe with her. She could have had some fun in her own time with that.

Of course, I don't blame him for not sharing his plans with Hawke. After 7 years, she couldn't even be bothered to find him a kitty. I will never forgive Hawke for inflicting 7 years of catless hell on Anders. His Warden commander knew him only a month and wasn't even shagging him, yet she hooked him up with The Pounce.

Hawke, I am most displeased by you. :(

hey guys. I had to do my college homework today so I haven't been around. man, what a wirlwind of convo around here. I love me some Fen so I will never...ever turn him in. I usually friend him even when I was full pro mage this time I was still able to friend him and he fought at my side in the end.

Marill is the only companion that I can't ever get to friend with. Oh, and during my Gail play-through I lost Izzy. . I mistakenly didn't use her enough during the first act and it wasn't enough having her in my party during act 2 to get her friendship up high enough for her not to leave with that dang book.

on the plus side, I did see Zev running around in the final fight. That made me smile hearing his battle comments. I missed them.
