I agree with this. Whether friendshiping or rivalling, Hawke does a pretty ****** poor job when it comes to Anders (and everything else but I digress), imo.
I would have preferred if Anders is beyond saving, that's what I like about him. But I certainly wish that Hawke had a better attempt at helping him, specifically trying to communicate with Justice. Even if it failed, I believe it woul have shed more light on Anders and Justice.
Total agreement here. I do not mind that Anders cannot be saved, either. IHowever, i still would have liked the option for hawke to at least try, or to show more concern for Anders own well being, outside of the mage cause or anything else, especially if Hawke is romancing him, because then Hawke's interest in Anders has gone beyond the mage cause, and has become personal.
Yet Hawke never really does this. Hell, my Wardens showed more concern and care for Anders well being, and he wasn't even possesed/crazy at that time, just really pissed off about the templars constantly harrassing him and hunting him down when all he wants is to live life on his own terms.
And yeah, I realkly wish we could have had the option to interact with Justice on his own, to see exactly how this was effecting the spirit as well. We know he is being turned dark by Anders deep seated rage, but how Justice might feel about this, or how it has specifically changed him, we never see. And we know far from being a bland, generic spirit template, Justice has his own unique personality, motives and viewpoints of his own, and certainly must have some opinion or feelings of his own after the merge.
But yeah, just because Anders can't be saved, doesn't mean I wouldn't have liked the opportunity to at least try and do something for him, instead of either letting him self destruct, or berating him for doing the merge in the first place.
And on a related note, if there is a way to help Anders, I believe the best place to look is Rivain, not Tevinter. The Rivani seers, specifically, who have long traditions and knowledge of their seers merging with helpful Fade spirits. Even if Justice could never be seperated from Anders, perhaps they might have the knowledge to help Anders learn to make inner peace and accord with Justice, and as a result, probably live a much happier life. And far less self destructive.
