On a different note, the comic with Fenris' "I enjoy following you" made me LOL. Love the hug gifs too: so pouncy.

And one more marginally Fenris-related thing: found this on the DA Wiki. The discussion itself is silly, but the Tranquilator part is good fun.

I also enjoy the gender role reversal that's been mentioned. Although, to be fair, the healer is usually a female role. So the simple fact that Anders is a healer was already novel to me. I enjoy matching him up with a warrior, it gives an impression of balance. In the same vein, the only mage Warden I have is a male. All my warriors and rogues are female.

Finally (mostly) caught up with the last few pages. Sweet commission!

That's the one thing that sucks about usually playing mages myself. Not as many opportunities for Anders to play healer. OK, I RP it that Anders knows more about actual medicine than Hawke, and if Hawke's banged up badly enough, he's going to need some help to cast spells of any kind, but it still sucks. Also: Never get to have Anders break Iduna's compulsion. That really, really sucks.

Anders doing things like break Idunna's spell is something extra I love about playing my warrior Hawke. Although I think he's pretty low on the priority list for that one. So then I have to come up with reasons why my Hawke wouldn't have Bethany with her because she drags her almost everywhere in Act 1. Also why she doesn't switch in Merrill. Usually I decide she doesn't want to bring her little sister to a brothel and thinks innocent Merrill might be a little awkward to have along as well. Thus Isabela, Varric, and Anders come along and Anders gets to save the day.

I don't take any creation spells as mage-hawke. I also wait till late into act 2/3 before I start droping talents in spirit healer, and then its only for a free res and removal of wounds ;p. Anders heals for me, and NO ONE ELSE

I also laughed at Merrill's Welsh interjection when she shows up. At least...some of it actually means something in Welsh. Not sure if all of it does.

I love bringing Carver to the brothel and totally trolling him with Jethann.

Plus did you know that if you accept any services at the brothel and Anders is in your party you get rivalry points? LOL. Then again none of my Hawkes have actually taken advantage of the blooming rose, hmmm.

I had Anders save my rogue once from Idunna, but most of the time I end up bringing someone else or just saving myself. I like to bring Anders on the Bartrand quest though to perform his voodoo to make Bartrand's brain come back for a minute. Also, on the Keran quest where he can do his "test" to see if the boy is possessed. All the little scenes of Anders being badass mage healer man are why I love to take him places.
