I hear you. Every once in a while, I'll get a bug in my ear to go read one of the "I hate/love So-And-So" threads. I know I shouldn't do it. I don't have the "shut up and let it go" gene. And then I get frustrated and depressed about the inevitable hate, poison and absolute blindness and it takes a few days of staying away from the forums and avoiding the "Companions" boards to get everything back in perspective.

Yeah, the general forums are...special.

Some of the companion threads are safe most of the time. Although, I wanted to delurk over at the Fenris thread...and then promptly decided against it, as they seem to have some drama going on there at the mo'.

Ok, ok, nerd explanation time. Catman is a DC Supervillain (natch) who used to be a generic joke villain, but became awesome. Basically, he hates superheroes because he considers them privileged ***holes who punch people in the face without repercussions just because they can. He... kind of has a point, there.) 

He's a noble and honorable guy who actually likes helping people, but he stays a "supervillain" because he is completely unwilling to be part of the "superhero" system he sees as inherently corrupt. Not a direct analogy to Anders, but I can totally see him reading those comics and saying "yeah! Fight the power!"

And yes, other threads, other forums. When I have time and brain to do it, I need to head back to the Mass Effect general forums. Those are usually pretty OK, really. Most other forums are just the same five arguments over and over again, but there was some good stuff on the ME forums.

Now THAT is how Anders should have shown up at the Gallows scene in the end.

I still have this love/dammit Anders! relationship with Anders. Every play through I think something different about him. Not completely different, but something new pops up or a piece of dialogue and I'm like.. Hmmmm. My brain starts churning out theories and interpretations and I just love that.

In the rivalmance it seems he just sort of goes with Hawke no matter what they do. Like he on purpose defers decisions to Hawke, and supports it even if it is to tranquilize Feynriel. I don't think he has the same reaction on a friendship path, but I've never tranquilized Feynriel and saved it so I can't remember his reaction. Perhaps on the rival path his "brokenness" starts creeping in even sooner than originally thought.

I might have to play a rivalry again just to study this further. Oh, but rivaling Anders is so difficult. If I side with the Templars I have to kill him and that never gets easier (yes I know he can side with me, but I just hate to see that ending.) I suppose I could side with mages, but it still doesn't really make it better, LOL.

The manifesto reading was my favorite part about the rivalry thing though. That and terrifying Justice.. I was like.. "Oh crap... Anders I'm so sorry!"

Not so sure about that. The dude lives inside somebody else's body. At that point,the whole concept of inserting tab A into slot B is kind of moot. And he has Anders's memories of sex, which are probably quite extensive.

It's giving me something to think about on a Saturday morning, though, which is kind of fun.

I can just see a very confused and rather disturbed Justice being a literal "captive audience" during Anders apostitution days. Probably wishing he decided to merge with someone else. Thanks! It's from the hsli sexy mage robes mod on the Nexus. The model is called "Nightingale", though the mod has alot of awesome ones. I use it for RP purposes as well, to wear something more "incognito" that doesn't scream "MAGE! KILL IT WITH FIRE!"

LOL! No wonder Jutice is so pissed off all the time! I mean, just the hints between Isabella and Anders about that "lightning trick" suggests Justice is probably wishing he had just stayed in the Fade.

Those half-naked armor mods hurt my brain. WHY WOULD YOU WALK AROUND IN FERELDEN, which is like walking around in New England, or heck, England IN THE LATE FALL, HALF NAKED!

This is why I have 4 mods for Origins, one of them is the knock mod, one is the hair mod, One is the no-hat mod, and one is the no fade mod.


for DA2 I have one mod. ONE. And its so I can unlock preset Hawke for her hair ;p

Jesus. Looking at the companion mods section...all the freaking face alterations...so terrible. I guess "beauty" really is in the "eye of the beholder" because literally every single one of those makes the characters look like ****. All the Anders ones especially do. The majority of armour retexture colors are like...really bad too. Whoever knew those colors go together..../roll eyes
