Aw, thanks. That is literally the first time I have picked up the sketchbook in... 4 years? More? So yeah, anatomy isn't really happening. Never really had a good grasp of it to begin with.

I couldn't bring myself to change Anders's coat, though. How else would you know it's him?

It's a rather dashing coat. Once he's in all black he looks pretty formal anyway and not quite as... raggedy. Perfect for dancing the night away.

Those are nice pictures. Hawke saying "It'll be fun" just reminds me of Anders freaking out over the Baroness and the Warden's "Come on. It'll be fun" line.

And I doubt he would even consider working with someone as evil as her now.,Does he give rivalry points if Hawke has Gaspard use blood magic to find Quentin? I was thinking that Seb was the only person who did.

I hate cute, cheesy, romantic. I hate romantic comedies. Im on the fence with angst. I love Fenris' kind of angst. What drew me to Anders was his tragedy. The sweet, cathartic appeal of watching someone fight and believe with so much passion only to end up in a tragic situation. The frustration, the sacrifices he makes. How he is still so flawed and so very human. I love that about him. The crazy and cheesy is secondary.

I'm the same way - I don't usually like angst. All I require from my fictional boyfriends is sweet talk and smart remarks. Anders is the one exception. The relationship is just so intense. It catches me right in the gut, while most angsty romances just make me roll my eyes.

Quick Q regarding the Manifestos Welcome group. Since I finally got out the sketchbook and really, really need the practice, I was thinking about having a go at it. The last prompt has a deadline of 8/22. Is this still going on, or has it kind of fizzled out?

I think it sort of fizzled out. Which probably means I should get to the pile of unfinished Anders fics I started every week just before the deadline. They're all just sitting there, mocking me. But now I've gotten off track because I'm sleepy.

I'm sure if there was still interest it could get started up again. If not, you could at least go through the old prompts and try to draw something for each of them.

Because of the changes in the way male faces are rendered, it's tough to do an exact match. This one, Anders Morph by Sgazc, is a little closer. Well, it's a softer look, anyway.

You know how to do that, Tyrium? Remove the earring? I'd be very obliged if you could explain me/point me to somewhere where I can read it up. I finally got to meet Awakening Anders, after reading so much about him, and naturally my reaction was all squealing and fangirly.

But that earring really irks me

By the way, thanks for the reply, Yami. You should definitely finish the works in progress. It's a sin to leave them lying around doing noting.

About the Anders morph thing, it's really funny, but I might actually try that Awakening morph, too. And I'm not usually one to use morph mods. It kinda suits some of the thoughts I've been having about A!Anders.

Awakening Anders presented himself as a sarcastic, kinda cynical guy, but now that I've played DA2, I appreciate that he was always softer on the inside, more vulnerable. Seeing what's left after mental and emotional instability has been chewing away at him for several years has definitely proven insightful. Despite the sexual hijinks that Anders got upto prior to Awakening, I wonder if his merger with Justice has given him new passion in all aspects of his personality. It is possible to be sexually active without being passionate. Maybe he was looking for something that he wasn't getting from neural stimulation and endorphin rushes. If Awakening Anders self-medicated his frustration with sex and/or alcohol, and if he is no longer able to drown his troubles that way anymore, it provides yet another reason that he is so reluctant to begin a romantic relationship with Hawke. The Justice part of his mind would be figuratively tapping its foot saying "You know, you tried this before. It didn't make you feel any better."

Edit: If I do use that morph, I'm going to leave the earring. One of the gifts you can give him in Awakening is an earring, and I still believe that he sold his bling to get to Kirkwall.

A lack of participation and the fact that I am horrible about losing time these days is why it's not been updated. I can definitely get the prompts going again.
