Ok, Hawke's flirt in this one isn't too bad. The one that made me go O_O was at the beginning lol.

I took Anders and Fenris -- PRICELESS banters.

I think there is also that flirt banter you get with a romanced Anders and Fenris's "GET A ROOM!" comment had me in stitches. MotA pretty much had me laughing to tears, so good, so snarky.

Anders was great to have along. Besides his "I'm a danger to everyone around me" quip he has some great snarky comments I loved. I even played on my rival Anders, and I don't know if it made much of a difference, but I think some banters might be based on rival.

I didn't notice any difference as far as romanced Anders with rival or friend. But then again I missed some banters, which is why I kept replaying until I got them all. So far my favorite other than Anders has been Isabela, gonna try Carver next time.

I took Anders and Aveline, mainly because I was concerned I'd need a tank (Hawke is a rogue). I'm not done yet, but I'm seriously considering restarting and swapping Fenris in instead of Aveline. Not that I don't like her, but I can't imagine she'd have anything more entertaining to say than what I've seen of Fenris-Anders banters so far.

I seriously wish Tallis could've been an ally rather than a full-on squaddie who hogs a party slot. Her abilities are rather redundant with my Hawke's, and so far, she just irritates me more than anything.

Heh, I actually liked Tallis. But yeah too bad she takes a slot :/ Aveline was pretty boring to me. Just her usual law and orderishness.

As far as I go, I liked Legacy better as far as story. But MotA was better for LI banter.

I like Legacy a bit more just because I like the Wardens and Hawke family info more than Orlesians and Qunari. However, MotA really has some great banter. I think I would have bought it for Anders' crazy rescue fantasy with romanced Hawke. That has to be one of my favorite Anders' dialogues ever.

Man, I need to play again soon so I can hear some of those lines again. I just started a playthrough with my Isabela romancing Hawke, and have Isabela/Aveline. Those two seem pretty funny together so far, but not nearly as funny as Fenris/Anders. As usual, that poor Hawke might have to go on hold while I replay my canon.

Ya know, if I had serious money, I would commission Yami to do an Art Nouveau DA-universe tarot deck (I collect them as a hobby). But that would probalby cost more than I'll make this year, so I'll either have to start buying lottery tickets or do without.

Okay sages of the Anders thread...what did I do wrong????
Anders sided with me against the mages. During the good bye I picked the starred option....Defeated Orsino and Meredith.....Varric states that the circles rose up and all companions went their separate ways.

Is something supposed to happen to Anders? Since as far as I can tell, he just sort of disappears....no mention is made of him unless you lump him in with the rest of the companions.

No, you did nothing wrong. That's why most of us here think he really is going to kill himself after you made him side with the templars.

I was confused so reloaded and got that "I won't live past this" line taking the "we'll we're going to die anyway" option.

I just wish some mention had been made.....'cause now I'm all....confused and sad. More confused. Can't be too sad if I have hope he's still alive....Ahlive and.....in hiding? In iding so well that Varric and his spy network can't find probably the most notorious apaostate in Thedas? ..... yeeeeeeaaaahhhhhhh. Dang. He's dead.....Anders WHHHHHYYYYY????

Well, to be fair, you did just make him kill a large proportion, if not all, of the mages in Kirkwall, when his goal all along was to set them free (no matter how asinine his methods...). Frankly, I'm surprised he even agrees to side with the Templars at all and doesn't just kill himself right away when you offer.

That's a good question, actually...Why does he agree to do it? It must seem rather shockingly cruel, from his perspective.

On a different note, I'm now conflicted about what I want as my canon. On the one hand, I quite like the idea of a non-mage Hawke defending her apostate, but on the other hand, a mage seems like she would understand him better and be able to help him better...Not to mention that Asskicking Apostate Duo = awesome. And that I prefer grumpy, temperamental Carver to nice, yet slightly spineless Beth, but that's a tangential issue. Hmm...

The whole ending where you side with the Templars is just so......really hard to do. I mean...Sebastain totally has a point....Why is Meredith calling for anulling the entire circle when Anders is standing right next to her???? Condemn to death all but the one who caused it?

With her speech, Sebastian's input, and even Orsino, there's just no good reason for you to side with the Templars unless you are a total mage hater. There's no Justice or rationality in that course of action that I can see. And I just can't see, even the whole idea of a rival Anders, why he would agree to side with the Templars unless it's his final way of making his own choice irrespective of Vengance. And yeah, I could totally see him, (as JH said a rival anders is a depressed Anders), committing suicide after destroying the Circle and all the mages.

It made me sick siding with her. Especially when she turns on you and you pick the "You're enjoying this aren't you" lines.

Yeah, that is exactly how I felt. But I had to do it once. And I did enjoy the kiss, even though I had tears. But while I can totally side with Templars throughout the game, siding with Meredith at the end makes no sense to me. But, that is just me.

Yeah...I'm not sure how the pro-templar path is supposed to be more "reasonable" than the pro-mage one there. Especially considering Meredith is so outright insane that the templars themselves end up turning on her. At least Orsino waits until the last minute before going bonkers and deciding he wants a radical makeover. Meredith...to be honest, I don't think she even cares that the Chantry went boom. As long as it gives her an excuse to make some mage sushi.

I'm NOT looking forward to earning the Mage Hunter and Crowning Glory achievements...In fact, I'm thinking I'll dial down the difficulty to Casual and just zip through the game doing as few sidequests as possible when I eventually get around to it. And I'll either do it last, or save myself another Andersmancing playthrough for after I do it, just so I can wash away the taste. Ah, the good old days of DAO when you could reload your way through the distasteful achievements...

Well, the pro templar path wasn't hard for me mostly, except the more extreme things which are pretty much optional. It was Meredith. You can tell that one is crazy. Even siding with her after she sends you to do Best Served Cold, she's all "Your being controlled by BLOOD MAGIC!!!!!" After you tell her that Orsino wasn't responsible. My Hawke was like ........

I've not gotten any Anders<-->Fenris banter in MotA. I guess I should play it again (although nothing will top rescue fantasies and Hawke joking about using chains).

Also, have a St. Anders of the Woods. I'm playing Awakening right now, and I really wished Anders had a banter where he whines about ugh, nature. I would have lol'd.



Also, I flirted with Tallis every chance I got and I thought the end was surprisingly sweet, although I imagine that the entire time Fenris and Anders were fumbling around le chateau, Anders was bemoaning the fact that there was probably sexy stuff happening.
